"You don't have to." Kieran argued weakly.

Bryan just beamed. "But I will." He led the way to his bedroom, inviting Kieran to follow him.

"You already helped me more than enough tonight, it's nothing giving a little back."

Kieran barely listened to his words staring at the back of his head as he followed behind him.

He was far too busy fighting the demons in his head, it wasn't too late to turn around.

He could just tell Bryan that he had an apartment upstairs or hell, he should hurry downstairs, get into his car and drive the fuck away from here.

Far away from the floppy haired man who made him question his sanity every moment spent with him.

"Why don't you take a shower while I make the bed." Bryan said sheepishly, the room was still slightly messy and it made him quite self conscious.

"I'm pretty sure I could find something that fits you." He rambled on, making his way over to his clothes which were still packed up in bags and boxes.

Behind him, Kieran leaned against a wall, his black eyes tracking him. "Don't bother about a shirt." He said simply.

Bryan paused at this, looking behind him. "Why?" He asked innocently, genuinely confused only to gulp silently when he caught the sight of Kieran slowly undoing his shirt buttons.

"I don't sleep with one." Kieran said pointedly.

Bryan struggled to catch his breath, swallowing. "Um, sure… here are a pair of sweatpants, they should fit…" He mumbled, handing over the piece of clothing while doing his best not to stare at Kieran.

"Thanks." Kieran said in a low voice, his gaze and fingers lingering.

Bryan could only fall face first on the bed when Kieran was in the bathroom, fighting the urge to scream.

Maybe he should have just left the intoxicating man to sleep in the living room with the empty cardboard boxes.

It wasn't fair, Kieran shouldn't be allowed to do any of this while allowing his confession to hang in the air between them.

He wasn't just seeing things, right? Usually, he couldn't get a read on Kieran but at least he was predictable, but not anymore.

With a sigh, Bryan pushed himself up from the unmade bed, he still had to make the bed.

Kieran wasn't really going to come out half naked, was he? Oh, who was Bryan kidding, he absolutely would.

He clearly hadn't thought very far when he invited Kieran to share a bed with him.

He wouldn't have minded this outcome in any other situation but he had literally kissed the older man out of the blue, it was going to be so fucking awkward.

"What are you thinking about?" Kieran's voice came from beside his ear, making him slightly startle and turn around, backing up.

It was his worst nightmare come to life, Kieran's dirty blonde hair was even darker when wet, his damp hair sticking to his face.

A quick glance down told him all he needed to know, Kieran was wearing nothing but sweatpants while standing just a few feet away.

Bryan had to remind himself to breathe and that he had been asked a question.

"Nothing." He quickly replied, a strained smile on his face. "I'll go take a shower now." He added in a rush, taking off.

Kieran watched him hurry away, pushing a hand through his wet hair.

He should stop this here, when Bryan came back, he would tell him what he should have said the moment he got back to his apartment.

That was merely wishful thinking though, he couldn't stop this anymore than he could change the color of his eyes.

He fell into the rabbit hole the moment he knocked on Bryan's door and it opened up to those wide blue eyes staring up at him, the only sea he wouldn't hesitate to drown in.

Bryan's eyes always had a twinge of uncertainty like he wasn't really sure if he should do things, it made Kieran want to raze down entire towns for him.

It was almost ironic, the Bryan that had pulled his face in for a kiss was very different from this Bryan with him right then who nearly had an aneurysm because Kieran showed up shirtless.

He had to say though, it didn't matter the way things had turned out, Bryan had absolutely gotten what he wanted.

Kieran couldn't see him as a kid anymore even if he tried and he almost wished he could go back to when he unconsciously saw Bryan as a bumbling teenager.

It fucked Kieran up because he had also unconsciously let Bryan get so close, he had never been able to explain why he tolerated Bryan and he managed to convince himself that he didn't need to.

That was coming back to bite him in the butt now.

He settled stiffly on the bed, it was big enough for them to sleep comfortably on. See, this would turn out fine.

He should probably say something about the kiss that Bryan had given him back in the car but that was the problem, he had no idea what to say.

He couldn't accept it but he also couldn't deny it, he was stuck, caught between a wall and a hard place.

And as the very smart werewolf that he obviously wasn't, he chose to complicate things by sharing a bed with him.

"Fuck." He cursed under his breath, throwing an arm over his face.

Bryan walked in at this point, dressed in comfy shorts and a round neck t-shirt.

His eyes were pulled inescapably to Kieran's torso, he had an arm thrown over his face which only served to emphasize how toned and fit he was.

He quietly pattered over, the bed dipping slightly when he got on, alerting Kieran to his presence.

Bryan had gathered up his hair in a soft ponytail to keep his hair out of his face while he slept, curling on his side, a hand propped under his head.

"Thanks for helping me out." He said in a soft voice, looking down at his other hand.

Kieran was lying on his back, fighting the urge to look at Bryan who was curled up so cutely beside him.

"Sure." He muttered gruffly, wincing afterwards.

it wouldn't kill him to be nicer.
