Dream dropped his phone on a side table to get dressed to leave the house, he was still curious but he would help Kieran out.
He didn't need to check Kieran's office to know that the Head Beta wasn't in so instead he made his way to Erin after paying a quick visit to his mate.
Erin shot to her feet when Dream peeked around her door. "H-Hi Luna Dream, is something wrong?"
Dream quickly waved away her concerns. "Not at all, have you seen Kieran though?" He asked casually.
Erin frowned lightly. "He said he would be out for a couple hours, do you need him?"
"No, no, I don't." Dream beamed at her. "Don't worry about it, I'll find him myself.
It was strange because if Kieran wasn't at the Pack House and he also wasn't at Paper District dealing with his 'appointments' there, it meant that he was at his mansion.
Why would he go there though? And where was Bryan?
Dream wasn't going to check up on Kieran at his place, nor would he ask about it but that didn't mean that he couldn't be curious.
He made his way down the stairs, he had dressed casually just to irk the people he was going to meet.
He had no idea how Kieran stood it, there always seemed to be complaints and issues.
He drove down to the address that Kieran had sent him, frowning at how awfully familiar the place sounded.
He couldn't believe that Kieran went through this kind trouble frequently, he would try to get the other to hire a personal assistant.
Dream parked his car in the parking lot and got out, his expression souring as soon as he caught a glimpse of the place.
Starry Outfitters
Kieran still hadn't gotten rid of the place?
It was where he had met Kieran for the first time, when he had been filling in for Erin as Dale's secretary, good times.
Maybe he could be Kieran's assistant, Lord knows that he would be more than happy to put shitty people in their place but that would give his mate an aneurysm so he wouldn't
He locked his car and made his way to the entrance, dressed in ripped jean overalls and an oversized t-shirt, he was looking forward to giving that one worker a mental breakdown.
He had also been here with Hayden, and he got to see his soft and sweet best friend nearly tackle someone to the ground, actually he doubted the girl still even worked here.
Dream made his way to the rotating glass doors, his satchel in hand.
A worker hurried in his direction as soon as he stepped past the doors, a judgemental look replacing the previously bright smile that had been on there.
This one wore clothes that looked painted on and not to mention, very uncomfortable. Her bleached blond hair looked very crisp.
"Can I help you?" She asked rudely, placing a hand on her waist. "If you're looking for a position here, I'm afraid we don't hire people of your caliber."
Dream just took a big sigh, this was starting to get old. "Does Nikka blindfold herself when she hires people?" He asked rhetorically. "Can it, outdated Barbie and take me to your boss."
The girl spluttered at this but before she could recover, Dream already brushed past her. He was in too much of a hurry to deal with unnecessary bullshit.
The worker recovered eventually and went right after him. "Excuse me, you can't go there…" She started to complain, making a ruckus.
Dream just ignored her, she was clearly a Paper District Werewolf who had chosen to not be a part of any Pack and that was fine with Dream but if she touched him, she would need help.
Just as he made it to the backrooms, Nikka was hurrying down the opposite hallway to check on what was happening.
She stopped short when she saw Dream coming. "Back to work, Claire." She called sharply to her worker who had just burst in from the side, looking very much like she wanted to start trouble.
She was starting to think that maybe her employees were so quick to attack Dream because they were jealous of his lovely hair and flawless beauty, she could find no explanation.
She hoped she wouldn't have to fire this one too.
Claire was smart enough to back away when she saw her boss, leaving quietly.
"I'm so sorry about that, Luna Dream." Nikka apologized sincerely. "Please, come to my office." She invited him.
Dream did a double take at this, this was the last thing he had been expecting, Nikka turning a new leaf.
"I'm actually here for a reason."" Dream cut her off. "I didn't come to sip smoothies." He said bluntly.
Nikka winced, she couldn't risk getting on the Luna's bad side, it was even worse than upsetting the Alpha himself.
"Why did you come?"
"Kieran sent me." Dream flashed her a smile that was all teeth.
Nikka's expression soured at this but she made no complaints. "It wasn't me this time, I promise." She was quick to clarify, stunning Dream further.
"What?" Dream blinked in surprise.
"Please come to my office, I take it, Kieran didn't fill you in." She said wearily.
Dream shrugged. "You could say that." He actually hadn't.
"That's because he doesn't know yet." Nikka explained, leading the way to her office.
"A new store opened recently and they're being a nuisance and breaching the contract clauses." She complained bitterly.
Dream didn't try to hold back his snickers, the irony was far too enjoyable not to.
"I deserve that." Nikka muttered dryly, offering Dream a chair in her office.
Dream titled his head to the side briefly, "Well you can take a joke so maybe you're not so terrible, tell me everything so I can report back." He added nicely, bringing out a note.
See, he could be forgiving unlike what everyone else thought, it wasn't like he would tell Kieran that there was nothing serious going on, or lose his notes accidentally.
