The Beast’s Den

Bright stood at the doorway, frozen.

For the first time in nine years, he felt fear.

Real fear.

He hears a resounding thud through the wall.

On the other side, was The cultist, who had ran into the wall.

"DAMN IT! ITS SEALED!" The cultist shouts.

Sarah stares at the wall, simply waiting, she didn't know what was in the room of death.

035 runs up to the wall and slams into it leaving an acidic substance that eats at the wall.

A sudden thud startled bright, turning around he faced its direction, the wall.

He hears hissing from the other side, and a small hole the size of one brick appears.

"Get me out!" Bright whispered yelled.

He allowed Timmy to go through the hole.

"Why are you whispering?" 049 asked, but then he saw the large head behind bright, it's eyes shut.

"It's gonna wake up if 035 rams into it, he won't be able to open it in time either," Bright spoke quietly.

A soft growl escaped the beast.

Its eye opened revealing a white pupil and iris.

035 spoke in the groups heads.

"It's blind, DO NOT MAKE AS SOUND."

The beasts pawed the area, narrowly missing Bright.

It simply sat.

It didn't move.

The cultist silently mouthed a spell, without warning 035 rammed the wall causing the original hole to become just big enough to crawl through.

The thud echoes across the beasts den. It growled and charged at the wall, Bright ducks behind a log. The beast hits the wall causing it to fall to reveal Sarah and The cultist.

049,035 and Timmy were hidden behind a corner in the hall, but still gave them full views the monstrosity in the doorway.

The beasts nostrils flared smoke, but it bowed to them. The beast stay loyally awaiting command.

"You've been asleep a long time, haven't you?" Sarah spoke to the beast.

"I've been waiting over ten thousand years for your arrival, for you are the angel's chosen," the y beasts voice resonates within her head.

"Do your kind usually live this long?" Sarah asks.

"My kind has likely been dead for centuries, humans tainting the world and fearing the unknown and that of which they do not understand, As far as I'm concerned I'm the last Crenturil alive, a species that once guided humans in the way of magic now dead. Additionally,My lifespan has been expanded to exist as long as the angels spirit is present and have finished the previous angels command, my previous duty was eliminating the council, thus I am yours to command now," he says.

Sarah pitied the creature, for it had been alone in this cathedral for centuries, waiting for its new master, living forever alone.

"Is it possible for her to learn magic from you?" The cultist inquired.

The beast nodded its head and lead them into the den.
