Chapter III

Hinata was never the same from that day on. The sparkle in her eyes faded. Her gaze was lost. In class, she didn't pay attention and couldn't look Naruto in the face. She wanted him to hold her and forgive her.

Hinata didn't know, but she depended, unconsciously, emotionally on what Naruto thought and felt for her. She took it for granted that Naruto would always be what he will need but was wrong. The relationship was two people not one. Ruined it for a fool.

Sakura scolded Hinata for what happened.

Sakura: Oh Hinata I told you. Naruto always needed you but you only thought of Toneri.

Hinata: I don't know what to do anymore. Naruto doesn't see me. She always avoids me. I don't like that (starts to sob). You know, I haven't spoken to Toneri in days, but I don't know. I do not feel anything.

Sakura: Hinata, do you know that you asked Toneri to give you your space?

Hinata: Eh? I did it? I don't even know what I'm doing.

Sakura: Naruto is sad and angry. Give him time for Sasuke to talk to him. He has his own methods of making him see things.

Hinata: I don't know what to do with her confession. I did not expect that. I had always seen him as my best friend, a brother. But I don't know what to feel now, Naruto is a cute and kind boy, but I hang out with Toneri.

Sakura: Hinata, didn't you know about Naruto's feelings? He always saw you with eyes of love. He always talks about you. You are his everything.

Hinata: I am a terrible friend.

Sakura: If it's any comfort to you, I think Naruto didn't confess at the right time. He was very hurt and did not think things through.

Hinata: Do you think that someday you'll forgive me?

Sakura: Yes, Naruto loves you too much. Give him time to calm down.

Hinata: And how did it go with Sasuke?

Sakura: Alright. With its pros and cons but we carry it.

Hinata: I'm happy for you. Thanks for everything.

Sakura: Be patient. When Naruto is calm, the two of them will talk about everything.

Hinata: Thanks, Sakura.

At the same time, Naruto and Sasuke were arguing for the same thing:

Sasuke: Silly you shouldn't have confessed like that. I know you had the right to claim what I had done but the confession was over.

Naruto: If I know, I shouldn't have done that. I did not think things through.

Sasuke: And what are you going to do now?

Naruto: At the moment nothing. I don't want to see her yet. I am very weak with it. If I go back and forgive her right now she will do the same again. I know her.

Sasuke: As much as I don't want to admit it, you're right. Hinata doesn't like to be bad at anyone. If you become her friend, Toneri will continue to be her boyfriend and you will be her handkerchief of tears. You don't want that. Don't talk to her and let everything go its natural way. I have seen Toneri frustrated, as he has not dated Hinata as he has wanted, he has argued for you with her. It seems like their relationship is falling apart. It is showing its true colors.

Naruto: Seriously (hopeful).

Sasuke: Yes, but let's not jump to conclusions. As I said, be patient and wait for it to follow its natural course.

Time passed and the relationship between Toneri and Hinata became more tense. Toneri and Hinata's parents did not get along at all and with the Naruto affair, they did not receive her at home. In addition Hinata was punished and they did not let her out, so they only saw each other at school, so they had many discussions.

Hinata and Sakura were arguing about this:

Sakura: Toneri and you, did they argue again?

Hinata: Yes, he didn't like that I was punished for Naruto. She says it's nonsense, plus if she doesn't want to talk to me it's her problem.

Sakura: How cruel. Is a damn!

Hinata: Yes, I defend Naruto, telling him that it was my fault but he doesn't understand. I thought it was someone different but what has happened has opened my eyes a lot.

Sakura: Are you going to finish him?

Hinata: I think so. She is not the subject she was when I met her, she also noticed it strange.
