Daisy was the Hero standing at the top of the line so he stepped up first. "I-I'm a L-Light F-Fairy." He stuttered, ruffling his short pale curls. "I can control fire and put it out but I can't create."
Cherry hummed. "Any one of you know how to create?" She threw to the rest of the Heroes standing tense in their positions.
Li cleared his throat. "I do." He stepped forward.
"Fine. I'll asses the both of you at once, step forward and tell me what you can do."
Li did as she said, stepping forward in training pants and a loose sleeveless shirt, combat boots on his feet. "Light Fairy." He drawled. "Can create fire."
"Fancy wording." Cherry muttered. "Show me."
Li fell into a fighting stance, arms bent at the elbows. "Ready Daisy?"
"Not really." Daisy mumbled, looking anxious.
"You've put out all my fires and I make a lot of those, you'll be fine." He reassured, starting to create a huge inferno shaped as a ball.
"Li?" Daisy called fearfully, as the ball morphed even bigger. "That's really big!" He shrieked, hands on his face.
The ball of swirling flames grew even bigger so that it obscured their vision. "Catch." Lily yelled out, throwing the ball of fire at his friend.
Daisy shrieked harder but stretched out both his hands anyway, it wasn't like he could get burnt.
As soon as it made contact with his hands, it turned a bright red to match his panicked state, morphing from it's initial ball shape to one full of waving spikes.
Cherry's eyes widened at this, gaping a little when it instantly changed to a light blue to match Daisy's relief, the sharp spikes dulling to a more cylindrical shape.
"Can you do that intentionally?" She asked, a thoughtful expression on her striking face.
"Y-Yes." Daisy said shyly, reducing the ball of glowing pale orange fire. "I can also make shapes out of it."
"Splendid." Cherry muttered, lacing her fingers together. "Make a bow and arrow." She ordered shortly.
It took some tries but Daisy eventually managed it.
"Can you only make fire with your hands?" She threw at Li after gracing Daisy with a hum of satisfaction at his shaky weapon.
Li blinks at this like he had never considered it. "What?"
"Exactly what I said." Cherry repeated dryly.
"I don't, um I don't know." He shrugged sheepishly. "I've never tried to."
"Take off your boots." Cherry ordered, leaning back. "And do the same thing you do when you are making fire with your hands, only this time through your feet."
Lily made a face at her preposterous suggestion, he had to admit it was pretty good and would boost his flying not to mention come in handy in sticky situations. "Yes sir." He muttered, bending over to unlace the boot strings.
When he was done, he stepped away from them and raised one foot up.
Everyone concentrated on this leg.
"Is something supposed to happen?" Orchid whispered only to get a quiet hush from Poppy.
At the first trial, a spark shot out of his feet and Lily's eyes widened in amazement.
"Wow!" Daisy exclaimed. "I had no idea you could do that."
"Me too." Li shook his head, trying again, this time with both feet in the air.
The resulting spark pushed him backwards a couple feet and he landed in a heap on the ground.
"Li!" Daisy called out. "Are you okay."
"Yeah." He groaned, shaking his head to dispel the stars. "I think so."
"That will need work, get over here." Cherry spoke up. "I need to know how strong those blasts of yours get."
Lily flew back and stood at attention in front of the Trainer.
Cherry got up and brought up a large boulder out of the ground, she moved to the side a bit and made another one.
"I want the two of you to destroy that, I don't care how, slice it, break it to pieces, burnt it down, it's your choice." She ordered them, going back to take her seat.
Daisy was still holding the much smaller ball of fire now so he didn't need to ask Lily to create more for him.
"Want me to go first?" Li offered, putting his boots back on.
"Yes please." Daisy agreed, stepping back a bit.
Li flexed an arm before ripping his shirt off, Eden let out a sound of dismay, wondering just why the Light Fairy couldn't keep his clothes on.
Another huge ball of fire was created in no time and Daisy started to panic.
"Li?" He called to him.
"Yeah." Lily answers over the roaring of the fire.
"Please don't miss."
Li just grunted and shot the ball of fire forward.
Daisy prayed hard as the impressive ball of fire started it's trajectory and wasn't surprised at all when it curved at the last moment but let out a shriek of horror when it went for Cherry.
Cherry just nonchalantly raised up a block of stone from the ground but blinked when the ball effortlessly shattered it, she had to jump to the side to escape it, just barely.
"Ah, I'm sorry about that, my aim is terrible." Li said, scratching his head nervously.
"No kidding." Cherry muttered, getting up from the ground to dust her clothes.
Daisy had quickly flown after the raging ball of fire to put it out.
"We'll have to work on that." She added. "Plus your fire power is pretty impressive but it can get stronger." Cherry lectured and Lily listened intently. "You can't step back for now."
She turned to watch Daisy, an impressed expression on her face as the small Fairy effortlessly and quickly put out the fire with a wave of his hand, like he had much practice at it.
"That was quick." Cherry noted when Daisy flew back.
Daisy looked down at this. "I've put out a lot." He murmured demurely.
"Try smashing your own boulder." She invited and Daisy stepped up, holding a little flame in his hand which he increase and made out into the rough shape of a sword.
He swung it and it made a deep slice but not deep enough to divide the boulder.
"You need to focus the flames more, you're too lax with them." Cherry noted. "I understand that you're both fireproof?" She asked, pacing a bit.
"Yes." Lily and Daisy chorused.
"I just remembered, I've set my entire self on fire before." Lily spoke up, shrugging. "I couldn't keep it up for long and it was draining."
Cherry looked impressed again, softening the original impression the Heroes had of her. "Then you can both return, I've seen enough for now, who's next?"
