Sanity

"It's been a long time since she hurt me. I can defend myself now. Don't worry," said Yitian, who smiled reassuringly at Chao one last time. Chao wanted to touch his cheek, but Yitian swiftly evaded and got out of the car.

"You need time to think if you are ready to tell others. For me, this is a perfect time to see what happened to Nou Rao. I haven't talked to her for about three years now." Yitian bent down and reached out to Chao's hand, which was still hanging in the air before him. But then he quickly pulled his own back.

"I'm sorry," Chao said, feeling really guilty about his internal conflict.

"I get it, that's why I'm giving you time to think it over by yourself. We are together too much. You need to get used to me not being by your side at all times," he said and chuckled at Chao's horrified expression.

Indeed, he was too clingy nowadays, and it would be really bad if this continued. It would make them lose their lives.
