Yitian quickly caught Chao's hand and squeezed it hard. He knew it would hurt, but that was the point. He could see Chao panicking. Or more like getting a panic attack.

But it helped. Chao turned his head towards Yitian, and his eyes focused solely on him. That was promising.

"I'm here, focus on me. We talked about it, didn't we?" Yitian whispered into Chao's ear so that no one else would hear it. That helped even more.

Chao stopped shaking, and his breath normalized again. He was out of the worst thing that could happen before anyone else noticed it.

Well, his teammates noticed it, and they formed a defensive wall around them. That was a bigger part of why the newcomer never noticed Chao's attack.

"I have no idea what you are talking about!" Yitian snapped. He had little patience when someone was attacking his loved ones. And attacking Chao when his teammates were present… that called for really big trouble.
