The phonecall

i was at the my desk preparing presentation for the meeting.

suddenly my phone starts ringing. I took my phone and saw that my childhood friend more like best friend calling me. I was shocked first because he was calling me for like almost 2 years later.

i picked up the call and talked with him.

(after 1-2 hrs)

I cutted the call and go to my boss cabin and ask for the leave for 1 month. As obvious, he refused. After arguing for 10 mins i resign and leave the office. i took a taxi and then leave the place

while going home i had my own thoughts that why did he ask me for help almost after 2 years later. I really missed him in these past years. i do remember how we met first

FLASHBACK

in the school :-

rahul :- hey.....can i sit here there is no place left

me :- of course...but you have to share your food with me

rahul :- ok

he sat next to me

rahul :- btw whats your name ?

me :- anjali and yours ?

rahul :- rahul !

i reached at my house. i entered in my house and told my parents that i am going to south korea for meeting rahul.

"rahul, you still have contact with him" my mom said and i just nodded.

"when will you leave ?" she asked while hugging me because she knows how much i had when he leave's india and shifted to korea. he was my only friend left after school. after he goes i became so lonely and now he is calling me for help. In last 2 years why didn't he called me ? why now ? didn't he had his own korean friends for helping him ?

I followed the stairs for my room. I booked the boarding tickets for tonight. i started packing up my things and clothes. while packing i found my school's shirt

FLASHBACK

(scribbling day)

me :- let me write on your shirt....rahul come here. (screaming and running)

rahul :- no you will draw poop picture on my shirt i know.

me :- i will not promise.

rahul :- i dont believe you.

me :- oh so you want everyone to write on shirt except your best friend. this is the last day of school, we didn't know if we are going to be together after school or not. What if you'll find another best friend in your college ?

rahul :- shut up ! we will never gonna break our friendship no matter what. I'll go to same college as you do and if not then i'll text and call you everyday and we can meet after college every weekend. there will be no secrets in between us.

me :- promise ?

rahul :- promise!

END OF FLASHBACK

"why did you break your promise" i said and sigh as i am about to cry, i started packing again

AT NIGHT

i hugged my mom dad and they blessed me then i took a cab for airport and leave my home

after reaching at airport, i made my entry and took a seat at the waiting area and waited for the announcement.

FLASHBACK

rahul :- i am going to korea now. don't cry please i have to go

me :- but you said you'll never break our friendship i have only you as my friend.

rahul :- dont be silly anjali. i am just going to korea for my job. it doesn't mean that we are no more friends i'll call you everyday promise. i'll never forget you. you are my best friend and always be.

me :- promise ?

rahul :- promise

"there you again broke your promise. who's said that best friends didn't had breakups. long distance relationship can kill any bond whether its between best friends or not" i said and then suddenly announcement had done and then i leave

IN FLIGHT :-

"i hope that whatever you going through i can solve that" i made a wish and slept
