CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Two days passed, Sophia decided to visit Climax. She got to his apartment and could see the woman that lives next door looking at her.
"Thank you for calling the police that night ma'am" Sophia said smiling to the woman. She looked at Sophia and walked in her apartment.
"Okay? That was weird" Sophia said as she knocked on Climax door
"Hey" Daniel said as he opened the door "how are you Daniel?" She replied.
"Where is Maxy and the boys" Sophia who was looking around asked.
"They went out, I would have followed them but thank God I didn't...you wouldn't have met anyone" Daniel replied.
Sophia sat on the couch "where did they all go". Daniel grabbed the Tv remote "Bryan's birthday is today, so we are organizing party here tonight" Daniel said sitting down.
"Awe, really?"
"Wait, I thought that is why you are here, Climax didn't tell you?" Daniel asked.
"Nah, he didn't...did he?" Sophia replied "Nah, I am pretty sure he didn't, I am just here to visit you guys" Sophia added.
"To visit us or to visit Climax?" Daniel said smiling to Sophia who bluffed out. She stood up and walked in the kitchen "wow. You have so many drinks in here, I see the party will be so lit" she said looking into the refrigerator.
"They are brining more drinks soon, that one in there won't be enough.." Daniel said "what about Ava? Is she coming?" Daniel asked looking at Sophia who was gulping a Pepsi.
"Oh...she is at work...she didn't know about the party too" Sophia replied as she put the Pepsi bottle down and burped silently, she looked up immediately to see if Daniel heard.
"That would have been so embarrassing" Sophia whispered to herself
"You can call her to come over" Daniel suggested "if you want to" he added. He looked at Sophia who stared at him.
"You know I want you to call her right!" Daniel said looking at Sophia who laughed out "okay okay I will" she replied and joined him on the couch.
"Let's see a movie" Sophia said.
"Depends on the type you want" Daniel replied
"The NOTEBOOK!!!" Sophia grinned at Daniel who rolled his eyes. "Oh come on Anne, I have not seen it but I am sure it is thrash" he laughed out
Sophia smirked at him "don't judge yet" she replied and play the movie "here we go" she said smiling "want popcorn?" She asked laughing.
They started the movie and Sophia could see Daniel yawning. She ignored him and focus on the movie.
After awhile, Sophia could see Daniel smiling "someone is enjoying the movie" she said.
"That scene was just funny, that is all" he said, "OKAY" Sophia replied chuckling.
"Why will she be with another man?" Daniel said grabbing his head.
"She had no choice, she was forced by her parent to marry a rich man, she was not in control of her life...that is what is happening in real life too" Sophia replied sadly "I feel like this movie is all about me" she thought.
They finished the movie and Sophia realized she has been crying "oh my God, this movie so emotional" she sniffled.
Daniel laughed out "I thought you were been so strong" he said. They could hear Climax and others coming in, she wiped her tears quickly.
"Hey....look who is here" Pete said smiling widely "Anne" he added. Climax smiled to Sophia,
"You look pretty" Bryan said. "She is always looking pretty" Daniel added. They carried the alcohol drinks they bought on the table.
"You are here for my birthday right?" Bryan said sitting down "ouu I am so tired" he added
"Daniel was just telling me today is your birthday so yeah I am here already...happy birthday sweetheart" Sophia replied
"Thank you honey" Bryan said out
"What is wrong with your neighbor? The woman that called the cops that night...she is acting weird" Sophia said looking at Climax.
"She is weird, I saw her yesterday and I decided to tell her thank you for helping us that night but she ran inside like I'm some ghost" Climax replied.
"Let's not talk about some weirdos guys, it's my BIRTHDAY" Bryan said loudly "and thanks to Climax, my girlfriendsssss left me...who am I supposed to be with today" Bryan frowned at Climax.
"I didn't do anything" Climax who fell on the couch replied
"She said you body shamed her and insulted her" Pete said laughing out. Sophia burst into laughter "lies" she whispered to herself, she remembered what Climax told her in the room and smile to herself.
Climax looked at Sophia who was still smiling "why are you laughing?" He asked, Sophia cleared her throat "what, nothing" she replied and walked towards Bryan who was arranging the alcohol on the table.
"Let me help you" she said. "Aww you are so sweet...hey everyone Anne is a sweet girl" Bryan said
"We forgot to get food guys, I am pretty sure we would have hangover tomorrow so please let's get enough groceries" Pete said looking at Climax.
"Why are you looking at me? Go get it yourself..." Climax replied
"Let's go get it together" Sophia looked at Climax who groaned out "Noo!" He said out
"I will go with Anne" Pete said sharply. Climax hurried up, he grabbed Pete's car keys and pull Sophia out. "We will be right back" Sophia said as she was been pulled out.
They got back later and could see people already in the house, Sophia sat on the couch and could see a girl hugging Climax. "who is that?" She thought. She saw Climax smiling to her "they seem really close....she is fineee though" she whispered to herself.
Sophia saw Daniel and the girl coming towards her.
"Anne, meet Vanessa...my little sister" Daniel said. "Little sister and she looks so tall....it is a relief she is just Daniel's sister though" Sophia thought.
After awhile, Sophia saw Vanessa following Climax to his room "she is just Daniel sister" she reassured herself. "I should stop overthinking and take some fresh air" Sophia got up and stepped out.
The music started playing softly, friends invited and ones not invited started arriving. Everywhere was full of people having fun.
Ava got in and could see Sophia and Rosa talking. "heyyyy" Ava kissed Sophia on the cheek. "Hello" she waved at Rosa who waved back smiling.
"Where are the boys?" Ava asked. "I don't know, everyone have been busy" Sophia replied.
"Ava!!!"
They looked back and could see Daniel approaching them "when did you arrive? He asked looking at Ava.
"Just now" Ava replied smiling.
"Come on, come grab a drink with me" he said pulling Ava up. Sophia smiled to Ava that laughed softly.
"Where is Climax" Rosa asked, Sophia ignored her by humming to the music playing.
"Anne?"
Sophia looked at her "huhhh! Talking to me?" She asked.
"I said where is Climax?" Rosa repeated
"I don't know" Sophia replied.
"I noticed he has been together with Daniel's sister all day, you know she really like Climax right?" Rosa said.
"I knew it, I could feel it...maybe he likes her too? " Sophia thought "oh...I don't know" She replied.
Rosa saw her boyfriend and hurried up "see you around" she walked away
Sophia Saw Rosa and Daniel laughing and taking shots, she smiled "they actually look good together". She saw Climax and Vanessa talking to each other's ear and laughing
"Why am I bothered? He isn't even my boyfriend and he clearly doesn't feel anything for me" she said to herself.
"Hello, remember me?"
Sophia looked up and could see the man she had her first kiss with in the club, smiling to her.
"What are you doing here?"
