Chapter 6

Everyone turned around to see Keaton standing by the doorway with a large vase in his hand and his forehead marked with a huge bruise.

"Sh*t," Jimin cursed, but before he could do anything Keaton swung the vase and it hit Emily on her ear and blasted into tiny pieces. She screamed, stumbling back.

Jimin had Keaton under control. Well, at least he thought he did. Jimin punched him in the face, sending him off. Keaton struggled but pushed him off and ran headfirst into Jungkook's stomach, knocking the wind out of him. Jungkook groaned as he tried to fight back but Keaton was sitting on his stomach, pinning him down, connecting a firm fist to Jungkook's cheek. Jin ran and punched Keaton right on the ear, causing him to fall to the floor.

"Move!" Hoseok called, running up to Keaton and they all watched as the big gun connected with Keaton's skull and they heard a crack before, once again, Keaton lay lifeless in front of them.

Keaton lay on his front with his hands sprawled out and with a pool of blood by his head that kept getting bigger by the second.

"He's dead," Hoseok spoke. "We didn't need him for anything right?"

Jungkook shrugged checking for traces of blood on his face. "Not that I know of."

"Ok good!" Hoseok sighed.

"Good?!" Ava echoed. "You just killed a man!"

"Who could've killed you if I hadn't killed him," Hoseok quickly spoke, which shut Ava up.

"Chill, babe, it's called self-defence, or friend defence!" he said laughing. "Get it?" he looked around. "Like self-defence but I was saving my friend," he said trailing off as everyone just stared at him, but Jin smiled.

"Ugh forget it, I was just tryna light things up," he said as he walked out of the room. "Haven't seen people smile for ages now."

Emily grimaced as Soomin tried to take out the small glass pieces. Tears were rolling down her eyes as she gripped onto her hand.

Emily could hear a sharp buzzing sound in her ear which wasn't making anything better.

They were back in the basement, each holding a weapon that they had learned to load, even Jungkook....he wasn't giving up that easily.

"Do we need something from in here? Like why do we have to stay trapped in here?" Hoseok complained as he fanned himself.

"I don't know why all of you are in here, Keaton could have hidden the papers anywhere in the house."

Jimin wiped the sweat off his forehead.

"How'd you stay in here for so long?" Jimin asked.

"OH MA GAD!" Hoseok yelped. Everyone turned to look at him.

"Boi you tellin' me you haven't had a shower for 2 years and you were sitting in a place as humid as this!!! WITH THE SAME CLOTHES!!!!" Hoseok exclaimed.

Everyone turned to look at Jungkook.

"I did have a shower," he spoke. "...occasionally. And I've only worn this shirt for a week okay!" Jungkook stated.

"That's still disgusting," Hoseok said walking out.

Jungkook just shrugged.

"Hoseok!" Ava started. "You've been wearing that shirt for nearly a week too, you know!"

"But I was in the fresh air, that kid was probably sweating 24/7 in there!"

he called back.

Jimin sighed "Do we have anything to do now?" he asked.

"Uh yeah, we need to find papers!" Jungkook jumped in.

Then everyone walked out too.

Jimin walked into the room he found Hani in and went towards the table with the scattered books. He closed one of the books. The title read 'Dark psychology', he closed another book, 'Metamorphosis'.

'𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘳𝘢𝘻𝘺!' Jimin thought.

He put the book aside and searched for papers.

"Hey Jungkook, I think I found the book!" Hoseok yelled from a far corner.

"They were papers, not a book!" Jungkook yelled back.

Jimin ignored and turned towards the bed. He lifted off the blanket that was neatly arranged. He threw the pillows aside. Underneath lay a pistol. Jimin picked it up, examining it. It was fully loaded which made him smirk. He put it in his belt and flipped the mattress off the bed. There was nothing underneath.

'Well, he sure was smart enough not to hide the papers here.'

"I get you're tryna be all heroic and everything, but you're seriously making a mess out of this place."

Jimin turned to look at Hoseok leaning by the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Shut up!" Jimin called. "Right now, all we need is heroism to survive this."

Hoseok snorted. "Yeah, right." Then he walked over to the open wardrobe. It was filled with clothes.

"Look at this!" He called. "This guy has a whole wardrobe full of clothes and yet he wears that crappy old thing!"

Jimin smiled.

"EH JUNGKOOK!" Hoseok shouted.

"What?!" Jungkook soon burst into the room with Hani and Soomin behind him.

"Here try this on, it should fit," he said taking out a white t-shirt that said 'you' with a picture of a potato on top. "Now that's awesome!" Hoseok exclaimed.

Jungkook just looked back at him with a 'seriously' look.

"What?! I'm just tryna help you know, you gotta look good when we get back!" Hoseok spoke.

"That's nothing close to my style," Jungkook spoke back.

"So your style is to stay in the same shirt that you were in for a week and can't remember when you last showered?" Hoseok asked sarcastically.

"You've al-"

"I've been in the fresh air," Hoseok interrupted Jimin.

Jungkook groaned. He walked past Hoseok and pulled out a few black shirts and walked out of the room.

"Thank god!" Hoseok sighed and everyone laughed.

"Well, well, well, look who's all fresh and new," Hoseok teased Jungkook as he arrived to join the group wearing a plain black shirt. Jungkook just rolled his eyes with a smile.

"Did you find anything??" Was the only question everyone asked and "no" was the reply everyone got.

"We've looked everywhere!" Emily sighed.

"We have to try harder, it's gotta be here!" Jungkook confirmed.

"What if it's outside?" Hani said.

Jungkook thought for a moment. "Maybe."

Emily walked at the back of the group. She closed her ears gently trying to stop that buzzing sound from reaching her head but it kept getting louder. She groaned and Minji looked back at her.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"I don't know, there's this buzzing sound in my head and i'm getting a headache because of it," she replied.

"Soomin!" Minji called. When Soomin came, Emily explained and they all came to an agreement to take Emily inside for a little rest and Hani joined.

The three girls went to the bedroom only to see the whole bed torn apart.

Soomin sighed and placed the mattress back on the bed and the injured friends lay down and for Emily, everything suddenly went quiet and she felt herself relax.

Emily opened her eyes to someone shaking her. It was Soomin, she was looking down at her and saying something.

'𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘯?!'

She sat up and watched the two girls talk, more like move their lips.

"Soomin! Hani!!" Emily held her throat and kept exchanging glances at the girls who looked back with at her with the same confusion.

The group stuck together, even though they were safe in the morning. They went to the side of the house when Kate called for them.

"Look over there, I think it's a shed," Kate pointed out.

They all walked towards it. As they approached it, they could see how old the shed was and how wood planks were nailed up to cover up the now non-existent holes.

The group trudged along the side to find an entrance.

"Guy's I think I hear the Hollowen," Kate whispered.

Everyone stopped walking and listened to the sound.

"It shouldn't be, they only come out at night," Jungkook spoke.

"I think it's from the inside," Ava whispered as she pressed her ear on the wood. Suddenly there was a bang on the wall and Ava flinched stumbling back and falling to the ground.

"They are inside," Jungkook spoke. "They're safe there and we're safe here."

"Let's just find those papers and leave, I don't wanna be around here anyway," Minji spoke. They agreed and quickly left the area, returning to the house.

As the group returned to the house, all they could hear was Emily shouting Hani and Soomin's name. The group rushed in and saw the duo telling Emily to calm down.

"What's going on?" Jin asked.

"I don't know, I was talking to her but she wasn't saying anything and then when she looked at us she started screaming and won't stop," Hani explained as Emily got to her feet and rushed to Kate with eyes full of tears.

Jin looked at Emily who was looking at everyone terrified and then at Soomin who stood silently with her head down.

"What's wrong with her?" Jin asked.

Soomin looked up at how everyone was watching her. She sighed and spoke.

"I think she's lost her hearing."
