Chapter 24

Emerson's POV

"Come on stop this now.. please" I have been requesting them to stop crying but they aren't listening.

Dad called to inform me about the meeting with the investors and both I and Jennifer are required there so we have to come back. The moment I gave them the news both Diana and Jennifer are crying.

"Don't be women you both please"

"We are women" they both shouted at me.

"I'll miss you baby" Diana said to Jennifer.

"I'll miss you mommy" Jennifer replied and they hugged each other

"And me?" I said opening my arms..

"I won't miss you at all Emerson" Diana said.

"Oh ho... So the moment you got a daughter, you forgot your son" I was mocking sad and they both laughed.

"Daddy!!!" they both ran to me and I pulled them in my arms.

"Please bring her more often Emerson" Diana requested kissing her forehead.

"Of course.. she's obsessed with this place and the food you cook.. I'm sure she won't be able to stay away for longer time" I said and this made her happy. We gave her the last hug and promised to come again soon.

"I had the most beautiful moments of my life here" Jennifer said getting into the car.

"Sure did I " I said kissing the shining diamond in her ring finger.

She blushed.

Our flight took off and she slept with her head on my shoulder. I gave her this idea of sleeping in the flight as she has a phobia with plane.

We reached the airport and Dad had sent one of the men to pick us.

We directly went to the office because we didn't had much time for the meeting. I asked Jennifer to take rest but she said she has to stay with me throughout the meeting.

"We still have half an hour.. do you want coffee?" I asked her as she looked tired from the journey I guess.

"Yeah.. I'll bring that for us" she said getting up but I made her sit back.

"Please stay. I'll get coffee for us." I said fixing my tie.

"But that's my work" she argued but I gave her a look which she knew meant don't cut me.

"Okay" she said and I kissed her forehead and went to bring coffee.

"Good morning Mr Hemsworth" the staff greeted me when I passed them and I just nodded back with a smile. Yes with a smile and they all look shocked. I smile every time because I'm having the best time of my life. I sometimes worry what Jennifer might thought about me finding me having fun with those girls. I don't even remember their names. She even called me a Playboy before. But I'm changed.. there's only one woman in my life and that's she. I just hope she knows that because I won't give up on her. I was even scared when asking her for marriage. I thought she might refuse due to my image she had made up in her mind. But she accepted me and I felt relieved.

"Here's your coffee Mr Hemsworth"

"Huh? Yeah thanks" I picked up our mugs and went back to my cabin with a huge smile on my face.

"We have to tell the office staff that we are getting married.. may be tomorrow? Yes. We'll tell everyone tomorrow. Everyone will be so happy. And Sam.. shit!! We haven't told Sam and Sophia. They'll surely kill us. No need to worry. I'll treat them with dinner." I opened the door and Jennifer was busy with her laptop.

"Babe? Have you told Sophia about the proposal?" I asked placing the coffee near her on the table.

"Oh!! I forgot.. she'll kill me Emerson" she said with a horror expression.

"Even I haven't told Sam. I forgot"

"What should we do now?"

"We'll invite them for dinner and will apologize for telling them this late.. I think they'll be fine" I said taking a sip from my coffee.

"Hope so" she said.

Jennifer's POV

I was tired from the journey but I couldn't leave Emerson alone. I'm his secretary and I have to accompany him in the meeting.

"Babe do you need coffee?" he asked and I was getting up to bring us coffee but he refused and went himself.

Aww Emerson you are so sweet babe.

He came back after a few minutes while I was going through his presentation.

"Babe? Have you told Sophia about the proposal?" he asked and horror took over my smiling face. Damnit Jennifer how could you forget to tell Sophia about the proposal. You are already two days late. She'll definitely kill you now.

"Don't worry.. we'll invite them for dinner and i think they'll be fine" he said and I felt the same.

"Sir the meeting is about to begin" Brenda said and we nodded.

We entered the conference room and the men have already taken their seats. I was.. again.. the only woman.

I could feel a few stares at me and others were smiling looking at me. I just bowed down. Emerson felt my discomfort I guess.

"Gentleman.. we all are here for the meeting but I think you are much more interested in the lady with me." he said and everyone looked down.

"Let me introduce her for us.. she's Ms. Jennifer Winget. My fiance" he said smiling at me and everyone looked each other with shock.

And I was blushing harder.

"Congratulations!!" they said and I just nodded.

However.. the meeting began and I gave the presentation on his behalf. Though he was the one to explain the ideas and I was just telling the initials.

Suddenly I felt nauseated. I wasn't feeling well and wished the meeting get over soon.

Luckily it finished in a few minutes.

I shouldn't tell Emerson about this or he'll be worried. He had another meeting.

"Babe Sophia needs me.. it's urgent." I told him.

It was afternoon already

"Is everything fine? Shall I accompany you? " he said.

"No it's all fine. She needs me.. we'll meet at home after your meeting." I said picking up my bag and he gave me a kiss on my check.

"I love you " he said.

"I love you too Emerson.. I'll be back" I said trying not to look sick Infront of him. I went to the washroom and vomited.

"What's happening to me?" when I got a lil fine I called Sophia and asked her to pick me up.

She was there in a few minutes.

"I'm sorry for this Sophia but it's urgent" I said getting in the car.

"What happened? You look pale?" she asked worriedly.

"Nausea.. I even vomited."

"I'll straightaway take you to the doctor" she said and I nodded.

We went to the doctor and she took a few tests. We waited for the results and she called us in her cabin.

"How are you feeling now Ms. Winget?" she asked.

"I am a little better doctor." I said and she smiled.

"Well.. you'll get much better when I'll give you this news" she said smiling.

"What do you mean doctor?" I asked.

"Congratulations Ms. Winget.. you are pregnant!!"

"Pregnant??"
