Here is the part 2 and I hope you all will enjoy this. I tried my best on this one, thank you again for everyone that continued reading this. Next chapter will be the last one and stay tune for my next work.
It was already 11 in the morning when everyone came back and started decorating the tennis court where they choose as the venue of the party. "Ne, Oishi...where do we put this big tennis ball again?" Eiji asked holding the yellow ball with the size of a basketball. Oishi replied, "Put that to the center Eiji."
The red haired sempai nodded but asked again, "Um...isn't the distance of the ball from the ground a bit short? I think I need someone to help me place this in a higher place."
Sakuno looked at Eiji, "Um...Eiji-sempai, if it's alright with you I can help place that ball."
Eiji smiled, "Alright Sakuno-chan! Thank you for the help but you will need to sit on my shoulders to place the ball higher...will you be okay?"
Sakuno nodded, she carefully sat on Eiji's shoulders and held the tennis ball close to her. "Alright, I'm going to stand up now Sakuno-chan," Eiji said and grasped Sakuno's knees. Upon feeling her sempai's hands on her knees, Sakuno flinched and let go of the tennis ball.
"Ah! The ball!" Sakuno shouted with concern and everyone except Tezuka and Ryoma looked at the falling ball in shock. As the ball fell to the ground, it opened in the center revealing the message slightly and the colourful papers cut into small pieces inside.
Eiji brought Sakuno down and both of them returned the contents inside the tennis ball. Sakuno looked at the ball with a sad face, "I think the tennis ball is destroyed, sempai. I'm so sorry for my clumsiness."
"It's alright Sakuno-chan we can still repair this," Eiji said with a smile reassuring the auburn haired girl. Ryoma who was busy hanging a decoration on the side of the court went to the both of them.
"Why don't you just rest Ryuzaki? Because of you, we need to repair it again" the tennis prince said in a serious tone. Sakuno looked up at him but can't see his face due to the sun's ray.
"What do you mean, ochibi? Sakuno-chan was just trying to help," Eiji said worriedly and Ryoma replied, "but she made it worse instead, right sempai? I think she should just rest because she's still tired."
Upon hearing Ryoma's words, tears began to form in Sakuno's eyes. She lowered her head and stood slowly. "I think Ryoma-kun is right Eiji-sempai...maybe...maybe I'm still tired. I'm so sorry," she said in a low voice and run away.
The other sempais tried to stop the auburn haired girl but she already exited the court. Everyone rushed towards Ryoma. Fuji spoke in a calm voice but his eyes were opened and looked at Ryoma with a serious gaze, "Ne...don't you think you were a bit harsh towards Sakuno-chan just a while ago?"
The tennis prince lowered his cap, "I did that because she wasted time."
Momoshiro took Ryoma's collar and pulled him near his face, "Echizen! Stop saying that, what did she do to you?! She just came back you know ...apologize to her now and we will finish decorating this."
Ryoma sigh and answered in his usual voice, "Put me down first Momo-sempai...I'll find her."
While everyone was busy finishing the decorations, Fuji left the court to find Sakuno while Ryoma rested on a tree where Sakuno was kidnapped. He was cooling his head off when he recalled what his older brother said to him a while ago. "Why don't you ask the primary source herself? Besides I know you aren't just asking these questions just because the team is worried on her...it's for your own personal reasons right?" Ryoga said smiling.
Ryoma can't help but feel irritated, he doesn't know why his brother said that to him. He also didn't mean to hurt Sakuno's feelings. The truth is he felt happy Sakuno returned unhurt and just wanted to let the girl rest after what happened to her, although the event that happened a while ago made his words sound harsh. The tennis prince sigh, "I need to think of what to say first to her before I apologize."
On the other hand, Fuji was walking towards the entrance of the inn and found Sakuno sitting while staring at the flowers. The tennis genius smiled, "so you were here."
Sakuno looked behind her when she heard a voice spoke. Upon knowing the owner of it, she smiled sadly. "Oh...Fuji-sempai...it's just you," Sakuno said and stared at the flowers again.
"It's just you? Why...are you expecting someone Sakuno?" Fuji asked with a smile as he sat beside her.
Sakuno smiled weakly, "Fuji-sempai...I think...I think we should end this."
Fuji looked at the auburn haired girl confusedly, "end what Sakuno?"
"You know what I mean right? Even though I became your girlfriend this past 4 years, you know all along that my heart and feelings still remained the same...and my feelings of guilt for you just increases each day that passes," the auburn haired girl replied .
Fuji smiled sadly, "So even after these years your feelings for him didn't change huh? I'm kind of jealous of him you know. Even though he said such harsh words towards you, your feelings still remained the same. Even after he left for New York...you...didn't forget him. I'm sorry if I forced you to a relationship you didn't want, I was kind of hoping you would fall for me since he left."
Sakuno laughed a bit, "I tried sempai. I thought I'll be able to forget about him when I became your girlfriend but...each time I heard news about him I always feel happy. Even though he doesn't know my feelings for him, I'm happy about all the achievements he earned. But...I also want to thank you Fuji-sempai, for making me happy this 4 years that we had. Although you knew about my feelings, you still made me happy in your own way and I found someone to rely on when I needed to. So thank you so much Fuji-sempai...but...I think..."
"Should we break up then? I feel guilty holding you away from the one you truly love," Fuji asked looking at the sky.
Sakuno looked at him, "I'm so sorry sempai...and thank you." Fuji stared back at her with a small smile.
Both then hugged each other tightly one last time. Fuji smiled sadly, "Be happy now Sakuno-chan...and be strong, get him ok? You just need to have the courage to say your true feelings in front of him, I believe in you. "
Sakuno smiled as tears began flowing again, she nodded. The auburn haired girl then left Fuji alone and began finding Ryoma.
On the other hand, Ryoma after cooling his head off started finding Sakuno. The two met at the store they went the day Sakuno was kidnapped.
"Ryoma-kun..." Sakuno trailed off and averted her gaze to the ground.
Ryoma felt unease, he doesn't know what to say. "Ryuza- I mean Sakuno..." he trailed off putting both of his hands inside his pockets. He then continued speaking in a serious tone, "I came here to say...I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you."
The auburn haired girl looked at him and saw Ryoma's uneasiness, she came closer to him. "It's ok Ryoma-kun...you do have a point, maybe I'm still tired...and I accept your apology," she said with a smile.
The tennis prince glanced at her, seeing her precious smile he felt relieved. "I'm glad it's now ok...let's go back to the others. The party will start soon,"Ryoma replied with a small smile. Sakuno nodded and both of them returned to the tennis court.
Upon their arrival, Eiji signalled the others that they have arrived. Oishi welcomed them with "wonderful days" playing as background music. "Welcome! To Seigakuen's special party! May I ask the beautiful lady who just arrived to hit the two big tennis ball above?" Oishi said with a smile.
Sakuno looked at her sempai, confused and pointed at her face as if asking 'me?'. Oishi nodded, Eiji then came towards Sakuno and gave her the pink racket she used for playing and a tennis ball.
The little girl was hesitant for a moment, Ryoma glanced at her and took the racket as well as the tennis ball. "I will hit the big tennis ball instead in place of her, will that be alright?" he asked coolly and Oishi looked at Coach Ryuzaki who was sitting on the right corner. The auburn haired woman just smiled and nodded.
Oishi said, "I guess it's ok."
Ryoma was about to serve when Fuji interrupted, "Can I volunteer to hit the other one?"
Everyone looked surprised except for Sakuno, Tezuka and Coach Ryuzaki. Fuji added, "So that Echizen wouldn't have to hit two balls."
Oishi replied, "I...I guess so."
Fuji stood across the right corner of the stage while Ryoma stood across the left corner. Both looked at each other and nodded, they then began to serve and hit the two big tennis ball. Upon hitting it, the two balls cracked open and revealed the two messages inside. It read "To Seigaku Team remaining strong till the end" and "Welcome back Sakuno-chan!"
Upon seeing the messages, everyone cheered and Sakuno cried of happiness. Kawamura was then given a tennis racket and he began to shout loudly. "Seigaku Team Fight! Sakuno-chan Welcome back! Yaah!" Kawamura shouted and everyone joined the cheer. Sakuno laughed and Coach Ryuzaki as well as Tezuka smiled.
"Alright let's continue this party!" Oishi shouted. The party went on from having games by teams and even have Inui's special punishment for the losing team. After the games, snacks followed and different presentations were made. Even Ryoga joined in the fun, everyone seemed to enjoy the party until dinner was served. They made a big bonfire in the center and there the members gathered to talk and share memorable moments they had with each other.
Coach Ryuzaki sat beside Tezuka who was sitting near the table full of foods, "It's great to see you all enjoying this last day here. Even though you all graduated from Seigakuen, I still think of you as my regulars. I'm happy for every achievement you all gained...and of course, I think...without you as their captain, this team wouldn't be the way it is now."
Tezuka smiled, "I only did what I had to as a captain. But whatever achievements this team had gotten, it's all because of everyone uniting to help the team win. Plus you trained us well Coach."
Coach Ryuzaki laughed, "Well I will surely miss you all. But let this be not our last meeting with everyone, Let this be the start of a new chapter."
Tezuka only smiled, and continued eating. Inui who was busy gathering data came towards the dining table. "Can I gather data about what you two are talking about Coach? Captain?" Inui asked seriously.
Coach Ryuzaki smiled, "Oh I'm sorry Inui. We were only talking about the things that still never changed between all of you. By the way, where were you this morning?"
"Don't tell me you were sleeping while the others are busy preparing the party? Huh I-N-U-I!" the auburn haired woman asked threateningly and Inui sweat dropped.
"It's not what you think Coach...I...I was busy preparing the energy drinks for the team and the Inui special," Inui replied.
"Really? Very well then...I'll let you off this time," Coach Ryuzaki said with a smile.
Inui took a deep breath, he then remembered something. "Ah...by the way, while I was shopping for the ingredients of my Inui's special, I saw something interesting and gathered data."
Tezuka and Coach Ryuzaki didn't spoke. Inui continued, "from what I saw and gathered...It seems your granddaughter Sakuno is dating Fuji..."
The two who kept quiet looked at him, Inui continued. "Not only that but...it seems they have broken up just a while ago because of someone though Sakuno-chan didn't mention the name. So what do you think Co-"
"Inui...please let this data be a secret instead and leave the two to reveal it to the others I'm asking you." Coach Ryuzaki said putting both her hands on Inui's shoulders.
"Just follow the Coach, Inui." Tezuka added and Inui who was speechless only nodded .
"Alright! I'm sure everyone is enjoying their dinner but...now, it's time for...Truth or Dare!" Oishi shouted and everyone cheered.
"Let's start with the first one..." Oishi said and spin the roulette he made with everyone's name on it. "...Momo!"
"Truth or Dare?" Oishi asked and Momo smiled widely, "Truth!"
"Is it true that you and Ann are now dating?" Oishi asked and everyone cheered, Momo answered in a shy tone "Yes."
Everyone cheered and Oishi continued, "Next one is...Fuji!" the tennis genius smiled and everyone cheered.
"Fuji...Truth or Dare?" Oishi asked and he answered, "Truth."
Coach Ryuzaki sigh, "Looks like it's going to be fun after all."
"Do you have someone you like?" Oishi asked and Fuji looked towards the direction where Sakuno was seated. The young girl flinched feeling the stare and smiled weakly.
Fuji smiled, "I have...but, I think she doesn't like me back." Everyone except Ryoma, Sakuno, Coach Ryuzaki, Tezuka and Inui reacted in a sad way.
"Ne Sakuno! Don't you think Fuji-sempai just looked at this direction? Kyaa! Don't tell me I'm the girl he meant?! It would be okay if it's Ryoma-sama but Fuji-sempai will do too!" Tomo said and Sakuno only laugh nervously.
"No way will Fuji-sempai like you of all the girls, you are so annoying with your voice Tomo!" Horio replied. Tomoka looked at Horio with an angry look and they argued.
"I think it's better to let you all know the truth though...The truth is, the girl I like is...none other than Sakuno Ryuzaki!" Fuji said and left everyone speechless. Even Sakuno was surprised by his sudden confession. Ryoma on the other hand just stared at the tennis genius.
While Ryoga laughed on his little brother's reaction, "looks like someone got her first chibi-suke."
When Fuji saw everyone's reactions, he added "but don't worry even though we started dating years ago, we already broke up just this morning. Sakuno-chan seems to still have feelings for her first love. So to her first love...I hope you'll cherish Sakuno-chan and will make her happy." After he said that, he continued eating.
Oishi cleared his throat and continued, "well that was...unexpected but let us continue! So next is...Sa-sakuno!"
Everyone was silent again and looked at the young girl. Sakuno stood up, Oishi continued "Erm...Truth...or dare?"
"Truth," Sakuno replied.
"Who is your first love Sakuno?" Coach Ryuzaki shouted and Sakuno was surprised.
"Gr-grandma..." she trailed off and took a deep breath, "my...my first love is" she looked around and everyone seemed to be interested in who will she say. She lowered her head feeling her face heat up and continued, "...none other than...R-ryoma-kun."
Everyone's jaw dropped except to those who know already. Ryoma stared back at Sakuno surprised by her sudden confession. The young girl continued speaking, this time locking her gaze towards the tennis prince. "Ryoma-kun...I know, I...I can't be the best in playing tennis like Ann-chan or Tomo-chan, but...I want to let you know that you are the reason why I began playing tennis in the first place. When I saw your determination to win, it inspired me to play and to do my best too so that you can recognize me. Although I ended up always disappointing you, but even so...I still continued hoping that someday you will notice me...and you did, that small match we had before and just a few days ago was really meaningful to me because even for a small bit of your time I was able to play with you and became your rival. You may have become known to the world but I am glad to be a part of your memories and to know the you who the world doesn't know. I'll continue to support you and...I always wanted to say this...I love you Ryoma-kun!" Sakuno shouted and dropped to the ground after giving her all in the confession.
Everyone looked at Ryoma who was only blinking, he sigh and stood up cleaning his shorts. He slowly came towards Sakuno and kneeled in front of her. "Well this night was surely full of surprises...but I want to say thank you Sakuno. Thank you for the support and encouragement you give me when I feel down, I guess I mistook you for just a classmate of mine but..." Ryoma trailed off and glanced at his big brother who in return gave a thumbs up and a wink. "You made your way unexpectedly closer to me. I never knew how close and meaningful you had become to me if that kidnapping event didn't happen. I'm only gonna say this once so listen well...Sakuno, I'm glad that I was able to become your roommate for this reunion, because of that I was able to know the real you and even saw a different side of you I never knew of before. I'm glad to know I was your first love because I also feel the same way about you. Maybe I just realized it now but out of all the girls I was with, you were different from them and I cared for you unknowingly and with that I want to say...I love you too Sakuno." Ryoma continued and lifted Sakuno's chin, he smiled at her and slowly inched his head closer to her.
"Hey Chibi-suke! I hate to ruin the moment but I think it's not the right time to do that here," Ryoga interrupted with big smile. Ryoma looked around and saw everyone cheering, even Coach Ryuzaki gave a thumbs up.
Ryoma smiled and held Sakuno's right hand, "Well I guess we will be back. bye" he then pulled Sakuno and both run off.
"That was...beautiful, it looks like Echizen is now grown up," Momoshiro said crying.
Kawamura added, "Let's all celebrate this wonderful night with drinks everyone! Burning!"
Meanwhile Ryoma and Sakuno stopped somewhere near the tennis court that is dark and hidden by the trees, the two were out of breath but Ryoma still held Sakuno's hand.
"Um Ryoma-kun...my hand," she said and Ryoma only tightened his grip, "I'm not gonna let go of your hand...otherwise you'll escape."
Sakuno's face reddened, "I- I will not escape, I promise."
Ryoma smirked, "Really? You promised." He then let go of her hand only to slid it on Sakuno's waist and the other cupping her face. "I will never let go of you...you're mine Ryuzaki Sakuno," the tennis prince said smiling and slowly went closer towards Sakuno's face.
Upon feeling Ryoma's breath, Sakuno closed her eyes and slowly wrapped her arms around Ryoma's neck. Ryoma then kissed her softly and gently, while Sakuno responded back to his kiss with a smile.
The two broke the kiss after 3 minutes and just stared at each other. "So what's your plan now Ryoma-kun?" Sakuno asked and Ryoma replied, "I'm going back to America for a competition...you?"
"I'm going to America for a competition too...I already said it to you before," Sakuno replied with a smile.
Ryoma sigh, "I guess we will be busy with competitions but I'll stay in contact with you. I hope if you have time, you can visit me at the place I'm staying in America and I'll visit you too on my free time."
Sakuno laughed, "Ok. But Ryoma-kun does this mean that I'm...your girlfriend now?"
"Do I need to ask or say to you that?" Ryoma replied with a smile only to be responded by Sakuno with a cute pout.
"Of course you are Sakuno," Ryoma said kissing her forehead. "Let's go back to the others," he added and both went back to the tennis court hand in hand.
Upon arriving at the court, Ryoma was blocked by Ryoga. The elder brother looked at the lovers' hands, he then smiled. "Looks like everything went well, before I go back to my master...shall we have a friendly match chibisuke?" Ryoga asked and Ryoma nodded with a smile.
The match ended with Ryoma winning with a point advantage from Ryoga, the elder brother sigh. "I guess when you're in love, you get more inspired. Well! That's it I guess, I enjoyed this party the seigaku team prepared and I was glad to be part of it. Thank you for inviting me and see you someday Chibisuke. Bye Sakuno-chan! Goodbye Seigaku team," Ryoga said and started walking out but Sakuno stopped him.
"Ryoga-san thank you for taking care of me and please tell my uncle thank you again. I'll visit him next time, I promise."
Ryoga smiled and ruffled Sakuno's hair, "Sure thing! Next time bring chibisuke with you so that your uncle would meet him."
Sakuno smiled and looked at Ryoma, who in turn smiled back and nodded. "I guess we will meet again Ryoga-san, bye! Take care!" Sakuno said and everyone waved goodbye at him. Ryoga also waved goodbye and walked out.
Oishi then said, "Ok! Let's continue this party till morning!" Everyone cheered and continued the merry making till midnight, they surely made this farewell party a good and happy memory to be remembered by them forever. No matter what the future may bring to them, the team and everyone they had crossed paths with will always remain in their hearts and the bond that were formed by the different obstacles they faced as a team became the reason that strengthened and united them all.
