Max woke up and could see the sun descending below the horizon line. It was dusk which meant that he slept half of the day off.
He got up from his bed and examined himself. The soothing feeling he felt before wasn't there anymore. 'That was awesome' Max thought to himself, he wanted to meditate right now but he couldn't. He still needed to take care of his body, eating and sleeping were a must.
He got out of his room and began walking to the kitchen where he found his mother.
She greeted him and chatted briefly while she finished preparing some food for him. Max ate everything his mother put on the plate and found himself really hungry as he asked for seconds.
After gorging himself with as much food as his belly could hold Max thanked his mother for the food and returned back into his room.
'Let's start meditating again!' Max said excitedly. He got the taste of it and now he wanted it all.
'Alright alright, but don't think you will be gathering magic particles the same way you did before. You have to pull them to yourself now and improve your concentration, otherwise I won't help you anymore.' Matt told Max. He was thinking that meditating and gathering magic was as easy as that, but in reality Matt was simplifying it a lot which he couldn't always do.
'Alright then, where should I start?' Max asked as Matt inside the soul realm showed a smirk on his face.

For an entire week Max trained hard while being guided by Matt and he was doing more and more progress each day. He was now able to concentrate on the area around his body and pull many magic particles inside his bloodstream. Like that he gathered around one thousand particles in one week which for a beginner was a lot, but it was all thanks to Matt which Max had to find about it the hard way.
After around four days his accomplishments got the better of him and became more cocky toward Matt, telling him how good he had become and that maybe he didn't need his help. Matt did just that, and on the first and only night that it happened Max found the real difficulty of a Magician.
With Matt helping him he would be able to collect around one hundred particles on average each night while on the night he didn't get any help... he was barely able to squeeze around thirty. Not only where the particles scattered around a lot more, but they were harder to gather and his call wasn't as effective as before. It seemed that Matt truly helped him with it and he now truly understood after passing out for another half a day. The magic gathering without Matt was also more tiring.
After that night Max had a more grateful attitude towards Matt, and even began listening to him more earnestly like before, which Matt appreciated and he showed that in his teaching.
Max finished his training for this night and got up from his bed, he finished when the sun began to rise as always but now he was able to still move around due to his improvements during training.
'You should now take a break, you have been working hard for a week straight and it won't be good for you to over-exhaust yourself.' Matt recommended to Max, if he didn't take any days of this mental training it will exhaust him faster but may also hurt Max in a permanent way.
'Alright Matt.' Max wanted to truly complain but he learned his lesson in not trusting Matt, he knew that it was the best thing to do.
As he had been doing the days before, he joined his mother at the table where food has begun to be prepared in advance since a few days ago. Seeing her son working hard, and also noticing the fact that he woke up early in the morning, his mother began preparing food for him to eat as a day startup.
It was some cooked Low-Grade Magical Beast meat and some hand-grown magical plants which his mother grew as a hobby, but the meal was delicious as always. Max could feel the care it was put into making it, enhanced by the look of proudness which never disappeared from his mother's face as she ate along with him in the last two days.
"You have been working hard Max," His mother addressed him.
"Yes mom, this Magician training is quite amazing but it's also hard so I thought I will take a break for some time now," Max told his mother what he had on his mind.
"It's great timing Max. You see... I just wanted to talk to you about your admission to the Magic Academy 'Mana' from the Wulon Kingdom!" His mother's voice spike as she said the last words. She had a beautiful smile on her face, her white teeth could be seen through the crack her rosy lips made as her eyes glistened with happiness.
"Wait what?!" Max couldn't believe what he had heard so his reaction was a bit late. He jumped out of his seat from his excitement and his mother slowly followed suit.
"Mother you are not lying to me right?" Max said while his excitement skyrocketed.
His mother just stood there, her smile didn't falter from her face as he nodded in a quick motion once. This was all Max needed as a confirmation, and out of excitement, he embraced his mother holding her tight in his arms.
"Mom..." Max had tears in his eyes. The Magic Academy also known as 'Mana' or 'Mana' Magic Academy is one of the top academies inside the Wulon Kingdom where Max and this village along with its people were part of.
His mother softly embraced her child as she began crying tears of joy as well. She just got the message today and was waiting for him to come, barely holding back her emotions as well.
"Congratulations Max, both me and your father hope to see you achieve everything you have in mind," She stopped for a second as she moved away from Max, wiping her tears the continuing "What can I say?" She chuckled softly "Don't you dare be lazy, both I and your father didn't get such privilege like you, and neither are lots of children." Amaya said a bit more seriously. Even though you would awaken as a Mage it didn't mean you could get into any Magic Academy that person wanted, Max was accepted because of his special Darkness Element which was a rare mutated one.
"I'll try my hardest!" He promised his mother as he calmed down.
"Then began packing your stuff, by the weekend you have to be at the capital city, we can't afford you having a rented place there so you will have to stay inside the Academy Dorms..." She said regretfully but both she and Max knew that it couldn't be avoided.
"No problem mom! I'll begin packing right away."
Max knew that he will be leaving and even though his family didn't come along with him he knew that crying over it will mean nothing. He will do his best during training and while they had free time he would come back and visit his family. At least this was his plan.
