Max left the classroom, thinking that he shouldn't even have bothered getting up from his bed today. He reached his room before plopping himself on the bed, closing his eyes.

This action was strange but Max was actually trying to figure out a plan for today. He thought that his plan was already made, go to his practical hours, meet with Dylan, get the badge, head home, and then meditate for the rest of the day but it already began falling apart.

'There aren't a lot of things to do…' Max began speaking to himself as he thought of what he should choose to do. Thinking of his different options he realized that they weren't many, and they were the ones he almost did on a daily basis; train, go to the cafeteria, or the library, train during the night and then repeat the next day.

'I can't wait to get out of here' Max felt thrilled while saying such thoughts, going hunting would be the perfect excuse to leave the parameters of the academy when he doesn't need to be here.

He got up from the bed expectantly, there were still a few hours before meeting with Dylan so he thought to at least revise what was written on the new treasure he acquired.

About three hours have passed before putting the book down, he could've read new knowledge from the book but chose to review what he knew already, solidifying his foundation knowledge of spirit weapons.

"It took a lot less time this time" Max cheered, he grasped the ideas a lot faster than before, gaining a deeper understanding as well. It was true that he already read this part of the book but he couldn't understand all of the ideas written inside it in one go.

Max placed the book on the nightstand next to his bed before heading out. He planned to once again eat something before meeting with Dylan as he often forgot to eat while being emersed in training or reading.

Max found an empty table. This time he took a table for four people just to be prepared for the chance of unexpected guests coming. He ate the meal, as always taking some meat but this time he chose some greens because why not. The addition of Low-Grade Plants made him feel filled to the brim but full of energy, something he always liked.

He placed back the plate before going back to his seat. Right after though he saw Dylan entering the cafeteria alongside Bryce. He looked attentively but his target, Ernie, wasn't anywhere to be seen.

He saw Dylan doing a quick sweep of the cafeteria looking for something, sweeping his gaze from left to right it stopped exactly on Max.

'Great eyesight' Max thought after watching Dylan easily locate him.

The duo swiftly made their way to Max before sitting on the other side table. Even though it still felt a bit cramped they chose to do as such.

"There will be a formal meeting that you will have to do with our leader and in the meanwhile you will also have to greet some other members. But for now…" Dylan reached in his pocket right as he said that.

He took out a small white tooth brooch, inspecting it slightly before placing it in front of Max.

'This is it?" Max curiously thought while inspecting without touching.

"You can take it, I know it doesn't look like something grand and important but this signifies our group. Our plain-looking and unimpressive group." He admitted. It was true that the brooch that was about three centimeters in height looked underwhelming.

"It's alright, I understand," Max said before picking the brooch up, inspecting it more closely.

"Is there a designated place I have to place the brooch on?" Max asked after he was satisfied with the inspection he did on it.

The brooch was a pristine white tooth with a glossy look, its exterior was shiny so this is why Max felt surprised after he touched it. The surface wasn't as smooth as Max thought before but was actually very rash. When swiping his hand from the top to the bottom of the canine tooth it was smooth, something Max expected but when he swept it upwards the texture of the canine shredded the skin of his thumb.

Blood began sipping out little by little and Max retorted towards Dylan.

"This is an actual canine?!" Max almost shouted in surprise but he was able to restrain himself from doing so. The surprised tone in his voice wasn't subsided though and seeing Max waiting for an answer Dylan responded.

"It's a Magical Beast canine, it's really tough and people below a certain power level aren't able to even scratch the surface of this beast!" Dylan boasted about the magical beast, it seemed that it held high importance for the people in the group.

"That is quite incredible, how do you guys manage to gather the teeth of the beast? And also, what is the name of it? It seems like an interesting beast and I have yet to learn about it" Max said while carefully looking at the brooch, the more he learned about this group the more he was happy that he joined.

"Oh, that is- "Dylan wanted to respond but felt a hard attack at his ribs. The attack stopped him from speaking and after realizing what he was about to say he also knew who just stopped him.

"It seems like I am not able to help you with that" Dylan grunted while massaging his side. He looked at Bryce who had an aggravated expression on his face, looking towards him.

"You are not eligible for this kind of information. When you will be, I promise I'll tell you" He then continued with an apologetic look, it seemed to be aimed at Bryce but the former talked to Max at the same time.

Max looked quite impressed, he wasn't even able to see Bryce move but he was aware of what happened, this is also why he made the decision to not pry on the subject anymore.

"It's alright, I can't expect every answer so soon… Curiosity just got the better of me," Max tried to dispel the awkwardness that arose after the duo's actions.

"We'll take our leave then Max, we did what we intended to do. Be sure to find me if you have any questions from now on. And for now, I'll tell you to go to the dome-shaped building you fought in before and ask the lady at the reception about quests that a second-year can accomplish, pick one and then visit room 56-M at the second-year dorm building" Bryce advised Max before leaving with Dylan. It seemed like they were in a hurry, Dylan most probably will get some problems for being so easy-going.

'Let's go then' Max thought before getting up from his seat and attaching the canine on his sleeve, as it was a brooch nonetheless. He watched Dylan and Bryce leave the cafeteria before going outside as well, he felt like he shouldn't get mixed up with whatever happened as he didn't want to be kicked out a day after joining.

Max slowly made his way to the dome-shaped building before being stopped once again at the front door by the guard he felt a bit familiar with. Because after all, it was the same guard that stopped Mark and him the last time they tried to get in here on their own.

"State your reason for attempting to enter this building." The guard said in a monotone voice as if he repeated this phrase a multitude of times each day.

"I am part of the White Fangs group, the seniors that recruited me told me to come here," Max said, evidently confused. He thought that there would be no guard ever since two days ago.

"The White Fangs?!" The guard shivered slightly once he heard the name being said but he didn't falter. He looked at Max before continuing "A form of identification?" He questioned; his tone obviously changed from a few seconds ago.

"I don't have my identification card with me right now…" Max apologized but he saw the guard shaking his head so he stopped speaking.

"I am talking about a group emblem, the White Fangs emblem" The guard patiently explained, there was doubt in his eyes but he still didn't deny the fact that Max was part of such group.

"Oh! Then here it is!" Max excitedly said after realizing, he rose his right hand before pointing at his sleeve where a neatly pristine and shiny object was bound on the grey sleeve, an emblem, and the sign of belonging to a group.

The man gulped almost in an instant, he got out of the way allowing Max to pass through.

"I am sorry for wasting your time, I welcome you to the Group Hall" He apologized while shivering uncontrollably. A while ago he shivered slightly when he heard the name, but now it was completely apparent when Max was identified as a member.

Max stepped inside the building swiftly, he knew something was up about this group now. 'I think that just time will tell what is happening…' He said in quite a disappointed tone.
