"How is she doing?"

"Why don't you go in and check for yourself?" The nurse says with a smirk

Urhmm okay then. I walk into ma's room and my heart stops for a bit. Ma is sitting upright on her bed giving me a small smile.

I can't believe this, for almost two weeks I've see nothing but her blank face and here she is smiling at me. Unbelievable.

I run to her side and lie next to her in the bed, placing my head on her chest gently.

"I missed you ma." I whisper

"I know. I heard everything."

"You did?"

She nods

I wrap my arms around her and hug her.

"What happened to your face dear?"

"I'll explain later. Right now i just wanna lay here with you."

"Who's this Xavier boy?" Ma asks as she climbs into the passenger seat

"Aria's boyfie."

"Her boyfie?! She's too young for boyfriends!"

I chuckle

"Gosh i missed you so much." I say starting the car

"I missed you too sweetheart."

"Okay, ma you stay here in the car. Ill go get her quickly."

Ma nods.

I get out the car and walk up to the front door of Xavier's house. I ring the doorbell and after a short while the door is opened and Aria walks out.

"You enjoy yourself?" I ask with a sly grin

"Yeah yeah." She replies with a giggle

"Okay i have a surprise for you waiting in the car. Close your eyes."

"Oh my gosh!, is it a puppy?"

"What? No! Just close your eyes."

Aria closes her eyes and i lead her to the car and signal for ma to get out. Ma gets out and stands infront of Aria.

"Okay. Open."

Aria opens her eyes, her eyes widen and her hands start to shake.

"Ma!" She yells as she wraps her arms around ma's stomach.

I smile at the two as tears start to run down my cheeks. Ma opens her other arm indicating that i should join in on the hug and i do.

"I love you girls so much." Ma says patting my back and giving Aria a kiss on her forehead.

"So how's school going Aria?" Ma asks Aria as we all sit on the sofa.

"It's been good." Aria replies

Just then the doorbell rings

"I'll get it." I say getting up from the sofa and walking to the front door. I open the door to see Kayla

"Hey, come on in." I say before hugging her"

Kayla walks in and once her eyes land on ma she squeals happily running towards ma and giving her a hug.

"Sorry for disturbing your family time, i just wanted to check up on you, Zach told me you had a bad incident at the cafe"

"Don't be silly, you're basically part of this family and thanks im okay."

Kayla just smiles

"You left some of your nail polish here the last time, i think you should take it before Aria uses it all."

Kayla chuckles and follows me upstairs to my room.

"Thank you." Kayla says as i hand her the container of nail polishes

"Okay i better be off then." She says as she gets up from my bed

"Wait."

"Yeah?"

"I need to tell you something."

Kayla looks confused but sits down again and i sit besides her.

"I just want to thank you for our friendship. For always being there. For helping with Aria. For supporting me and for helping me live. I love you Kayla, you are the bestest bestfriend anyone could ask for."
