Complicated human minds (Leo)

Julia sleeps like a little lamb, without a single worry. Her heartbeat is steady, even if her temperature is lower and her blood pressure is unstable.

Her feet are cold, but she's warming them against mine. She turned in her sleep and leaned her back on me. Her head is on my arm, her breath tickling the skin of my forearm.

All in all, she seems healthy. Her condition improves by the hour, and till evening she's like new, for real.

I couldn't read a single thought from her guarded mind yesterday. She must have inherited some protection from her hunter parents.

Julia opens her eyes not much after sunset, and she turns to lean closer to me. She's still cold, but not like before.

«I thought you would sleep in,» I whisper, surrounding her waist with an arm. Like this, she'll feel even warmer.
