The chase (Leo)

It looks like eggs are energising. I'm ready to spend the whole night looking for the stray after a few bites.

Or maybe, it's because Julia made them.

The night is chilly outdoors. I hope Julia found the covers I placed in her wardrobe. And that she wore a pyjama. Only a t-shirt is too little for this weather.

«Are you focusing or not?» Amadeus mutters.

«I'm not the one that needs to focus,» I point out.

He's the one with magic, not I.

He has already placed a map on the floor of this abandoned room. He doesn't do magic in crowded places. We're inside a building on the outskirts; the family living in this hut has let us use it for the night. They moved out after being paid by Amadeus, and they didn't ask what we were going to do here.

As long as we don't stain walls and floors, they said.

I sigh, observing the candle that is melting next to the map. The wax has flown down, but it won't be a big deal to remove it once it cools.
