The clock chimed after an hour, and the chamber was again filled with people. The old couple Marco and Gloria went back and comfortably positioned in their seats. Gloria looked at her watch.
"Where is Kyle?" She asked. She opened her foldable Spanish fan and quickly cooled herself.
"That was an hour's worth of negotiation back there, eh," Marco remarked to his wife.
"Hope Kyle was able to convince the man to help him. That was a gallant act Kyle did."
"Agree," Gloria replied. The chamber became hotter as the day progressed. She again fanned herself to cool herself down.
Susana walked back in her seat in front of Edwards and his friends.
The magistrate arrived from a special door behind his table and casually sat on his chair. He cleared his throat and hammered down his gavel.
"Where is….counsel Kyle?"
The chair where he sat is empty. The buzzing sound around the chamber grew louder as the magistrate again banged his gavel.
