The Call from Gallingthine Police

It was early morning when a boy named Jeremy was strolling along the beach of Gallingthine when his dog Jervy ran and began to bark on the dirt file carried by the waves on the shore.

"What is it, Jervy?" The boy asked. Jervy whimpered and, one by one, removed the dirt on the mound of garbage and angrily barked at what seemed like a hand in a claw position sticking out of the sand. The dog digs the sand some more, and the face of a man emerged from underneath. Jeremy looked closer and was able to see clearly the face and arms of a dead man. Jervy whimpered and began to back away. "Let's get out of here, Jervy!" Jeremy was about to run but stumbled on Jervy when it scampered between his legs. Jeremy quickly stood up and ran fast, but the dog returned to the mound.
