The Party

The Riva's party started late at around 3 p.m., but all the VIP's of Palindrome arrived to greet the couple and their first child. There was plenty of food served to meet guests' discerning taste from European to mixed Asian food at various tables. The couple hired professional hands from the ushering area down to the kitchen to avoid guests' unpleasant experiences.

Susana and Primo Lanz arrived just as the party was starting. People have now mingled with each other talking on various topics such as religion, politics, weather, money, and wealth. Hearing they were excluded from the most topic, Susana whispered in Primo's ear, "So what group should we fit in?"

Primo responded, "the hippies perhaps."

"The unconventional, you mean?" Susana clarified.

"Yes, the weirder, the better," Primo responded.

Susana saw Jacqui and Major Riva talking with some ambassadors judging from the flag on their lapel and national costume.
