A Long Night

Han Feng's Bedroom.

Han Feng was sitting cross-legged on his bed. There was an opaque crystal bottle in his hands, exactly the one that was given by Xia Lan today.

He gently opened the cork and tilted the bottle on his hand. A small, round white pill rolled out from inside which had a strong medical fragrance.

"So this is the Bone Nurturing Pill. Finally, It's time for my breakthrough." Han Feng happily muttered while looking at the pill in his hand. Then he popped the pill in his mouth and swallowed it.

As it reached his stomach at once the strong medical efficacy blasted inside him, filling him with endless spiritual energy. Han Feng didn't dare to be neglectful. He hurriedly revolved the Basic Cultivation Classics, a very normal cultivation technique that was available to everyone very easily. He was trying to absorb the medicine frantically.

If one could see inside his body, he would see that all his internal organs were absorbing the spiritual energy and as it passed through them. A transparent film was slowly formed covering each and every corner of his internal organs.

This is the indication that he has refined all the internal organs and removed their impurities, thus reaching Body Refining 6th Layer peak.

The medical efficacy was nowhere near the limit. So Han Feng revolved his cultivation technique faster and faster. Soon, the spiritual energy started entering his bones and his bones were getting refined. A small number of impurities were removed after every cycle. They were slowly becoming jade-like.

Time passed slowly. After about 3 hours of cultivation, the Bone Nurturing Pill was almost used up. The spiritual energy entering his bones got thicker and thicker.

As the whole process was very painful, there were beads of sweat that were formed on his forehead and his whole body looked like it was fished out of water.

"BOOM." There was a sudden booming sound inside his body.

"Ha Ha Ha. I finally broke through to the 7th Layer." Han Feng laughed loudly. He immediately jumped down from his bed and excitedly made a fist in front of himself. His skeleton made a creaking noise, all the bones in his hand which became tough and smooth like white jade, creaked as he squeezed his fist.

He could feel that his strength has increased twice as compared to before. He was very satisfied with this result. Now he could ensure his safety a little better.

"Ah. I have to take a bath again." He looked at the black sticky mud covering all over his skin and quickly ran outside the room to take a bath. Most of the black mud-like thing was the impurity removed from his bones and a little from internal organs.

Meanwhile inside Jiang Clan

Elder Hai was standing in front of a man who looked very thin, so much that it felt that even a small wind would blow him away. He was about 1.8m tall, had slightly dark skin, and pitch-black eyes. Half of his face was covered with a mask leaving only the area above the nose visible. He was wearing tight-fitting dark clothes.

His name was Jiang Yun, mainly responsible for conducting covert operations. His practice method was excellent at hiding his existence and completely blending with his surroundings. Thus he was best suited for investigations.

"Greetings, Elder Yun. Patriarch has orders for you. The situation is like this..." Elder Hai slowly told him about his mission from the beginning to the end.

"Okay, you can go back. I will leave at once." Said Jiang Yun in a bland tone.

"Okay then, Inform the Patriarch as soon as possible." Elder Hai said while smiling then turned around and left.

"Fleeting Cloud Sect huh..."Jiang Yun thought for a moment then suddenly disappeared from where he stood just a moment ago.

The next time he appeared, he was already outside the City but quickly disappeared in the darkness once again.

Fleeting Cloud Sect was situated in the Valley of Rain located on the other side of the Chaotic Forest. It had a history of more than a thousand years.

It was located at a distance of seventy thousand miles from Red Stone City. It would take forever for mere Body Refining Cultivator to cover such distance.

Jiang Yun was at Divine Core 4th Layer. Although his cultivation realm was not strong, his hidden technique was top class. He was confident enough to hide even from the Divine Soul Initial Layer powerhouse.

As he moved towards the location informed by Elder Hai, he saw few disciples of Fleeting Cloud Sect all wearing black robes. Their robes indicated that they were Inner Circle Disciples.

They were talking about something, so he approached them after carefully blending with the darkness. He wanted to get some useful information from the content of their conversation.

Unfortunately, their conversation didn't reveal any useful information. After a few more minutes, he decided to stop wasting time and go deeper into the forest.

Soon he came to a mountain, after bypassing the security, he found a camp that was clearly set-up by Disciples of Floating Cloud Sect. There were around 15 people and a bonfire was lit in the center.

Everyone looked relaxed. All of them were chatting while eating food and drinking wine. Jiang Yun's attention was suddenly attracted by a person among these people.

He was wearing a Purple robe, sitting in the most conspicuous position. He was surrounded by other 3 disciples wearing Blue robes. They all had a golden cloud pattern near their chest.

"Inheritance Disciple! Along with 3 Core Disciples at that! What are they doing here?" Elder Yun was very surprised to see these 4 people. They wouldn't come this far into the forest, at least not together.

He knew that Inheritance Disciple had the full support of the sect and left the sect only to gain experience in the Demonic Mountain range which was situated inside the Western Domain.

Red Stone City, Chaotic Forest, and Valley of Rain were situated in Eastern Domain. Demonic Mountain Range separated Both the domains. There were many Level-6 Magical Beasts inside Demonic Mountain Range.

So he found it odd that an Inheritance Disciple would come to the Chaotic Forest which has only a few Level-4 Magical Beasts(Divine Core Level).

The person sitting in the middle had a very noble temperament. He was just sitting there, but it appeared as if he was at the center of the world. A huge amount of Heaven and Earth aura was gathering towards him.

He had a very handsome face, his tall and lean body was covered by a loose robe. He had shoulder-length Silver hair. His blue eyes looked as deep as an ocean, sparkling with a mysterious light. He looked lazy but his eyes were extremely sharp.

"Senior brother. In just a single day, many people have noticed our movements. I am afraid that we will be discovered sooner than expected." said one disciple.
