Clyde listened to Muriel vent and get her emotions out. He didn't want to say the wrong thing as if he might hurt her feelings so he remained quiet. Muriel took notice as she looked at Clyde sitting on the other side of the couch. "I'm sorry Clyde, I've been rambling on and on to you. I just want things to go back to normal. It was so nice when we had Jess. It felt so right, but now.. I feel as if my whole world has come crashing down. I...don't know what to do."
Clyde looked down at his hands. "I know how you feel. I.... I blamed myself for Token's disappearance. I was the only one with him, I was away for just a few minutes and he was gone when I showed up. I thought he died. I blamed myself for his death. I.. wasn't the same. I lost my mom when I was only 9 years old. She was the best. I blamed myself for her death too. I just felt like my whole life was a train wreck. When I was with Bebe it was just to get my mind off my pain and misery. I... needed something, ANYTHING. She was so beautiful, but her personality and attitude got to me at times. When I lost Token I didn't know what I was going to do with my life. I went through severe depression as I felt hardly any emotion. It was as if it was all locked in a box. But you showed up and opened that box."
Muriel looked over at Clyde seeing his full attention on her.
"You entered my life and everything has slowly gotten better. Just your touch brought life back in me. I felt as if I was a dead course still walking. Then shortly after meeting you, your friend brought my best friend back. I'm so sorry what happened to your friend. I can't bring her back but.. I want to be here for you. I want to be there for the woman who was there for me when I needed someone the most. I'm sorry if I don't say the right things and I'm sorry if I am quiet. I just.. don't want to scare you off like Bebe because your are the greatest thing in my life and I don't want to let that go." He blurted out.
Muriel's face grew very hot as he pushed his words toward the end. Muriel didn't know what to say but she did know what she wanted to do. She let her famous smile back on her face as she leaned forward. Clyde's eyes widen when he felt he was in a sudden tight embrace. His cheeks highlighted red as he was processing the fact she was hugging him. At that moment he felt the gust of positive aura hit him like the first night. "Thank you." She said softly as she tightened the hug.
Clyde smiled as he closed his eyes hugging back. "No, thank YOU."
_____________
The two spent the whole evening at his house as she felt more comfortable being somewhere else besides the place she was staying. For all she knew the four were still in the same situation or worse. She needed a small break from the chaos. Plus she was loving the kindness she was given by the one known as Clyde.
They were on the couch while watching a funny movie. Clyde thought of everything as he wanted to cheer his new friend up. The two were watching a funny movie, he set up a popcorn bowl in the middle of the two with two soda cans on the coffee table in front of them. Muriel's smile didn't once leave her face as she missed this close feeling. She always had Jess latched on to her. A part of her missed someone wanting all her attention. Clyde, clearly being the type to give all his attention to her. The two were laughing and enjoying themselves when they both went for a handful of popcorn. They both felt their hearts leap when their hands touched. They both looked at each other with red in their cheeks as slight shyness kicked in. Clyde looked down at Muriel's lips then back at her eyes. Muriel's stomach knotted as she knew what he was wanting. She looked at his lips then back in his eyes, signaling she wanted the same. Clyde's mouth gaped slightly as he didn't pass up his opportunity. He practically threw his whole body on her as his kiss wasn't gentle. It was as if he was afraid to let her go. After all, everyone in his life seemed to die or go missing. He wouldn't let that happen with this one. He would protect her, as she is the love of his life. Bebe couldn't compare to someone like Muriel in his eyes. Clyde would go out of his way and make sure he didn't lose Muriel, even if it costs him his OWN life.
