CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

The sun blinded Jet and he rolled over with a groan. The mattress underneath him was soft as if he was lying down on a bed of clouds. He was wrapped by the warm, heavy duvet that made him feel so safe. His eyes abruptly open when he realized even his bed at Alec's apartment wasn't that comfortable.

He bolted up and the duvet fell to his waist. He saw the king-sized canopy bed he was in. Everything that had happened the day before returned to him. He looked around the obviously, sickeningly, expensive room Alec had given him for the duration of their stay. He could clearly remember noticing that even the measly doorknob was worth more than his monthly salary. He wouldn't even want to know the price tag of the lavish royalty bed he was in.

-"When are you planning on getting up?"-

"I'm up. I'm up," Jet muttered despite knowing Alice wouldn't hear him.
