Chapter 1: My little senior sister is the cutest. Part 2

A few months earlier little Si-u had found an ancient jade amulet while picking herbs in the forest for his mother. The green jade had a faint glow to it despite being covered in dirt.

This was unusual as jade pieces were extremely expensive and only owned by a few wealthy families and sects. Entranced by its allure Si-U carried it home and cleaned it.

Being only 12 years old he was unaware of the fact that a functioning jade charm fetched an extreme price on the cultivators market even if it was broken or the ki it contained depleted, the going price would be very high as the residual ki could aid in refining ki immersion grade pills, which are akin to many years of cultivating and potentially a raise in ones cultivation level.

Its soft amber glow produced a warming effect and as he examined it after dinner in the seclusion of his room, it pulled him into a deep sleep.

That very night he had a dream so vivid he questioned whether or not it was real.

He dreamed of a white and seemingly endless space, it was empty save for a canopy bed with white veils and the silhouette of a person sitting up looking in his direction. This person didn't seem to bear any ill will and his curiosity surged like a small underground stream trickling its way into a even bigger stream just ready to burst from underground.

"Who are you?" Si-U asked making his way closer but stopping a few feet from the strange sight.

"My name..." she paused as if remembering it proved difficult. "i am unsure however, So-hee seems to mean a great deal to me."

The voice held a tone that somehow felt powerful to little Si-U and at the same time it felt to him that the person was the most fragile thing he had ever heard.

She sounded like she was his age yet the presence in her voice seemed so powerful and so much older.

"I'll call you So-hee then,"he replied. The person shifted then parted the veil of the canopy before stepping from the bed, she was short and had long white hair, deep blue eyes which bore a stark contrast to her very pale white skin. She wore a long flowing hanbok with long sleeves decorated with words too difficult for Si-U to understand and a dress which seemed too long however she seemed used to moving about with it.

"So-hee," she said mostly to herself then "Yes, you may call me So-Hee."

With a wave of her small hand a thin red thread wrapped itself around his pinky before fading.

"With this you now share my ki and until you grow stronger i'll protect you, as thanks." she looked at Si-U and smiled a light and ernest smile which made him believe that she would uphold her promise.

"Are you a ki master?" Si-U asked.

She shook her head and answered in a low voice as if intending to keep her next words a secret "not anymore."

She turned back to the bed and paused before climbing in again. "If you return though, i'll teach you all i know in the ways of the ki master and how it was used in my time... now, leave before you are unable to. "

Hearing this Si-U couldn't help being happy maybe he wanted to know more, maybe he just wanted to see her again, but "Yes Master." he replied.

"Master?" So-hee giggled and waved her hand, a small gesture which held power unimaginable.

Si-U woke.

He sat up in bed, thinking hard about when he had climbed in. He couldn't remember but what he did remember was every detail about the dream. It was uncanny, how everything about the dream persisted in his memory. Like he had just experienced it and not dreamt the whole thing. He remembered how pretty she was, the thought made him dive into his pillow to stifle his shout, he had never felt this way before and it felt wrong to him almost as if he was breaking some unwritten rule. His face reddened with embarrassment but he still could not lie to himself.

He really liked her.

The following night he dreamt about her once again.

This time she was sitting on the edge of the canopy bed, the veils pulled apart and tied to the corner posts with blue ribbons, revealing rumpled sheets and many pillows behind her.

Si-U became aware of this as he found himself sitting before her, legs crossed in a lotus position.

"Dont think, just breathe," she said to him lightly, "let it come to you."

"let wha-"

"Shh," she cut him off before he could finish. "im sure youre unaware of this but many many years ago, before your generation people used this method to introduce ki into their bodies."

Si-U exhaled and inhaled as per her instructions and continued, introducing a slight lapse between inhaling and exhaling every few cycles until she told him to reset. While he did this she spoke; "in times past, practitioners calmed their minds and entered into a meditative state with this breathing technique that i've taught you. They used places like these to cultivate."

Si-U closed his eyes and when he ropened them he was greeted by So-hee who stooped before him her face very close to his, so close in fact that her scent washed over him leaving him with the thought of flowers. She blinked once and out of focus a lock of her hair slipped from behind her ear as she leans slightly to the side.

"You've been like this for a while now are you feeling ok?" she probed "Your ki seems to be in a chaotic state."

Si-U he slowly came to the realization that he couldn't speak or move and panic slowly started to make its way through him.

So-hee noticed the subtle change "how could i miss this?!" she quickly she put a hand on her chest and took a breath before placing that same hand on his, and her lips on his, Si-U feels the warmth spreading through him and at that moment the restriction slowly faded. Though it was small it was his first kiss and he wasn't sure what to think of it.

"Don't stand yet just keep circulating your ki with the breathing technique, right now your ki flow is a mess and it's all my fault." she wore a look of worry "If only i had noticed sooner that there was a restriction placed on your body," her hand still on his chest radiated a warm and comforting feeling.

"But who would dare do this to my student?" the air about her warmed, her expression quickly changing from worry to anger but soon that faded to concern and "i'm sorry it might've seemed inappropriate but that was the fastest way to transfer more of my ki to you." So-hee said trying to hide the fact that she was blushing by turning away.

"its," Si-U started, finally regaining his composure his breathing regulating and his unwavering grin returning. "ok."

So-hee pulled her hand away "how is this possible?" she placed her hand on his arm and just under his skin threads of light seemed to react to her touch reaching all the way up his to his neck a light glow emanating from his eyes. "Earlier you had no trace of ki but now you're at mid ki absorption stage and your mentality... you're about to break through!!" her surprise apparent she continued. "this rate of cultivation."

Peerless under the heavens!
