Thunder... Storm *

The next day, I woke up very early to dress up. Maya left instructions with Lisa, the best stylist and special effects makeup artist I've ever met.

The mask she put on me felt almost real. I could even think it was skin and that crept me out. I had this weird feeling of using another person's face. Hopefully, it was not.

"You look great," Lisa told me, as Vin watched me with a wide grin. He looked like a proud dad when I told him that I will go out with Thunder.

"Who are you?" he asked, "are you… Eva?"

I felt like hitting him and would have if I didn't agree with him. I looked like a different person. I couldn't recognize myself in the mirror.

Lisa had made me wear a redhead wig with long wavy hair. I was also wearing caramel contacts and thick-rimmed glasses that covered half of my face.

I wore tight slacks and a white button-down blouse with a varsity jacket.

As I said, I looked great, young and pretty, but not too much.

I was already turning 18 years old and for some reason, I felt that I looked much more mature than when I came into this world. I could see a reflection of my past self, just before I died.

"Okay, I'm going," I told Lisa and Vin and headed for the cafeteria that I already knew so well.

Later I will question the owner, Mr. Lawson, where he knows Thunder from.

I still haven't gotten used to his name, it's as if it didn't belong to him. I couldn't see him as a David.

When I reached the front door of the cafeteria, I received Thunder's message for him to enter from the back door.

I walked fast, I didn't know I was so excited about this, but I was.

I walked over and the door was open. I entered and the soft aroma of chocolate and vanilla pancakes with jam hit my nose, maybe there was hot chocolate and... something else. It smelled so delicious.

"Are you here already?" I could see Thunder in the kitchen with a black tablecloth over his white shirt and with the sleeves rolled up to reveal his beautiful arms.

Now he wasn't wearing the glasses from the other time, but he didn't look as formal as at the party either. He looked more handsome than ever.

"Hello," there was another person with him, he looked like the waiter who always served me. I didn't realize he existed when I entered. Thunder occupied my entire attention and I couldn't help but blush. "Yes, that boy is handsome, he always steals everyone's attention. Even my wife was about to leave me for him."

"That's not true, Alex," Thunder said, giving me a flirtatious wink, "that idiot always forgets Norah's birthday. If it wasn't for me reminding him… Norah would have left him by now."

The man named Alex sighed and nodded. "It's true, if it wasn't for Thunder, my love life would be terrible. But don't be fooled, even though he looks like a ladies-man, he's an innocent boy. He even started taking cooking classes because he heard it was the best way to win the heart of..."

"Alex!"

Alex smiled and winked at me. "Well, I have to go, my wife, Norah needs my lovely presence. By the way, now that she's pregnant, she wants you to be the godfather. And like all godfathers, you must bring a partner to the party... I hope you win her over soon. .. with your chocolate pancakes!"

The man left while Thunder continued to turn red with every word. Now he couldn't even look me in the eye.

I couldn't help but smile.

I found a seat at the counter near him and made myself comfortable there, watching him cook. He looked delicious.

"Do you like it?" I tried a piece of pancake and nodded. It was soft and tasteful, though they didn't really compare to Nigel's, I couldn't tell him that.

"They're delicious," I whispered to him and drank from the hot chocolate cup. Although the weather was not completely freezing, in the morning with that cold morning breeze, hot chocolate was perfect.

"I am pleased," he smiled and I almost stopped breathing. He seemed so sincere.

"But… but they are not perfect."

"I am not perfect either," he said, "therefore, you have to stay with me to be perfect."

I couldn't say a word after that. I could only laugh at how cheesy that sounded.

He also laughed and grabbed my cup of hot chocolate to drink a bit. The soft foam on his lips tempted me to get closer to him. But I didn't have to think about it further when he narrowed the space to me and kissed me lightly.

"It looked like you wanted a taste…"

"It tasted delicious," I whispered. I looked into his eyes as he was already asking for another kiss.

If not for my stomach growling, I would have conceded his wish. Though, it was also my desire.

"Let's go up," he whispered, "I have a surprise for you."

We took the plate with the pancakes, honey, and jam to the terrace. I helped him carry our cups of chocolate there.

When we arrived I noticed that the place was decorated with flowers and candles and there was a big armchair in front of a white screen and a small table.

"I thought we'd just have breakfast together," I told him with a smile.

He guided me to sit on the long sofa and helped me with the cups.

Then he broke a bit of the pancake and offered it to me with his fork. "I thought you would like it."

I took the piece of food from the fork and saw him blush again. I also felt strange.

"I do like it…"

We watched the movie or so I tried, I couldn't stop glancing at him, and I knew he was watching me too. The distance between the two seemed to narrow little by little. My heart was beating like never before. I must be crazy...

"Thunder," I looked at him and he looked at me, it was impossible to resist anymore.

But it seems that I was not the only one who was holding on. I heard him sigh and before I could say a word, his lips fell on mine. I felt him move and lie down on the sofa, his lips were still on mine.

"Storm…"
