Helena is a daughter of Dionysus; the god of grape-harvest, winemaking and wine, of fertility, orchards and fruit, vegetation, insanity, ritual madness, religious ecstasy, festivity and theatre.
You wouldn't think the god of wine, ecstacy and insanity would be a good father, but Dionysus cares about his children. But he'd rather be strangled to death by his own grape vine than admit it to anyone who asked.
