Chapter 36

Alice's eyes fluttered open so she could face a bright light on top of her head. A magical crystal that shone white all over her body. A body that felt heavy and grounded on the soft bed. She turned her head to the side to observe the room she had woken up in. It was some kind of small healing room. A few beds, dressed in white linen and a spotless marbled floor, where you could probably see your reflection if you looked down. At one side of the room there were huge iron cupboards and closets and a very messy desk, filled with papers and medical tools. She tried to speak, to tell someone that the light was too bright but her voice was hoarse, and her throat dry. She was in immediate need of some water.
