Mood Swing Part 1

After their lunch, they head back to the mall as Karol continues her grocery shopping.

"Do you need anything from this mall Leo?" asked Karol as she finishes picking her grocery and head over to the payment counter while Leo helped her with her cart.

"Nope, I'm just here to accompany you"

Karol suppressed her smile while narrowing her eyes as she said; "Why do I have the feeling you meant it otherwise," suspiciously look at Leo who's chuckle slightly.

"I only want the best for you baby girl and don't think so much okay,"

As soon as Leo and Karol were at the payment counter she straight away in reflection taking this out from the cart and put it on the counter but as she was on her third item Leo quickly stopped her.

"Stop baby girl, let me do it, you need to take it easy,"

Said Leo as he holds Karol's hands and takes proceed to take Karol's place. Karol sheepishly, feeling shy with the sudden attention that fell onto them as the other shopper and the cashier looked at them both while smiling.

"What a loving couple you two," said the cashier as she smiles at them both without feeling awkward nor sounded like one, Leo respond; "Thank you,"

As he still unloads the other stuff while the cashier proceeds in scanning the items. The cashier then again strike another conversation as she said; "And I bet you can't wait to meet your baby," in a mother a tone while talking to Leo who's still smiling.

Karol was slightly shocked as she looks at the cashier and then she looks down at her slightly open coat while she quickly covers it up and looks away.

In the meantime, the cashier was working swiftly and consistent manner as their grocery finished packing and they are ready to go.

Leo then put everything inside the trolley and roll them out from the mall and head over towards Karol's car while the owner of the car slowly follows Leo as she munches on her dark chocolate happily.

With Leo busy loading the groceries in the car, Karol comfortability takes her seat at the passenger's seat while munching away her chocolate. Leo swiftly places the cart back to its place and hop inside the car.

As he drives off from the shopping mall and heads towards the apartment by following the navigation, Karol suddenly asked;

"Leo, give me your bank account. I'll transfer the money to you"

"Don't worry about it okay Karol?"

"I know you have money but I do too so give me your bank account,"

"Let's just say that I buy all of this so that you can cook them for me," said Leo as he takes a glance at his left side smiling widely.

"Thank you, I guess,"

"You are most welcome"

"Here, drink this," said Leo as he stopped at the red light, unscrew the bottle cap and hand over the mineral water to Karol.

"Thanks,"

As they drove and head over to Karol's apartment suddenly she remembers her question that she didn't ask earlier.

"Leo?"

"Ye-yes?" asked Leo stutter a little as he can feel Karol's sudden change of mood.

"Answer me truthfully how do you know that I'm pregnant?"

Karol stop munching her dark chocolate as she covers it back into its wrapper neatly and turns to look at Leo who's driving. Like a cornered puppy, Leo replied in a small voice which makes Karol slightly annoyed;

"Ermm, ermm. The moment I smell you plus your belly is noticeable"

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Karol, I don't want to ask you that but it's not my place to ask and when the time comes I would gladly hear the news from you in which you are willing to share that beautiful news with me without feeling pressure or the need to tell me,"

Said Leo in a coaxing voice trying to calm Karol down in who he actually is but her guild appear as she feels bad for Leo who is a good puppy and a gentleman towards her.

"Thank you for saying that. Gosh, sometimes I feel like I'm turning into a devil. This mood swing really crazy"

"It's not your fault Karol, it's the hormone. The hormone makes you go haywire at times"

"Did you subtlety say that I'm a madwoman?" asked Karol as she raises her left eyebrow and folds her arms on top of her visible belly.

"No. God no. I'm saying that I understand that if you suddenly vent out your anger and I'll always be there to help you to calm down"

Replied Leo immediately as he looks at Karol while smiling softly in which makes her face the door before grabbing the handle and exiting the car. Leo smiles as he quickly takes a glance at Karol's swollen belly when she exited the car before he exit the car too.

Both Leo and Karol head over to Karol's floor while Leo holding a bunch of grocery stuff alone. As Karol punches in her apartment password number she suddenly utter;

"Leo you do know that I'm not a disable woman right, I can help carry some of the groceries,"

"Yes I know but I'm here now and this is my duty to help and also I want to do this too, so don't keep on asking and telling me these things because it's my responsibility to carry your stuff"

Stated Leo as a matter of fact as he repeats his answer answering Karol's repeated question that comes from her since the moment he carries the grocery stuff all by himself.

"Fine, jeez. Pregnant man in the house" said Karol mockingly while she heads to her bedroom.

Without taking Karol's words to heart, Leo shakes his head and quickly put away the groceries to their respective places.
