Onward to the Castle!

The day has finally arrived for me to be bestowed upon a name either from the elites of the governing higher Demons or from my own very solitude.

"Rise and shine, my son. Today's the day we can finally head off to the capital!" My dad unravels myself from the soft sheet resting on top of my petite body. I felt the sudden urge of the warm summer breeze whistling down on the surface of my feet, and the light raining below on the transparent window inside my room indicated the start of a young morning for today.

Checking my holographic status plate once more, I've noticed that my level was increasing at an incredible rate than I had ever expected.

"Level 13…" I'm still unsure whether my current growth is abnormal or inferior from other demon lord's children. I can ask my father about the normal growth of levels distributed by our kind, but I do not want any peculiar risk to involve my parents about the knowledge and power that I presently have, which could also attract the eyes of the Demon Lords sitting inside their castles. Moving at a steady rate and practising my magic in a distant place, away from the scuffling crowd, would be the best option that I can make with my 3 year old body. Once I can inquire myself in the adventurer's guild, which is conveniently right across the centre of the town, I can soon begin my journey to find my lost family as promised by Saran, the True Demon Lord himself.

In the meantime, I would like to sit still and relax, while slowly accumulating the power that I need to protect the people who are dearest to me—my family. Therefore, gathering enough prestige and fame will be my utmost priority.

"Hang on a second, dad!" For the past couple of months, I've been trying to cope up with the 'early developmental' phase of being a child. It's quite difficult as a father, I must say, to accept the monstrous growth of your child being able to run, walk, and do complicated mathematical questions at the age of 2 or 3. Thus, I'm carefully keeping a tow on when and how I can fully express my 'growth' within this youthful body.

Birthdays are celebrated when a child reaches the ages 3, 5, 10, and 15; where 15 years old teenagers are considered to be mature enough to succeed in the rank of their family and be a member in the adventurer's guild. During the former years, the child is obliged to be enrolled in an academy to learn the fundamentals of arcane manipulation and various combat techniques. This will allow any individual to participate in various wars to defend their country home. Some who cannot afford the tuition fee of the said academy shall take the post in the financial economy of the country as farmers, fishermen, couriers, and such. Humans despise these lower civilians, and treated them slightly higher than those of a slave. However, the Demon Lord 'Saran' posed a law indicating the equal rights and manners for the people who lack the financial ability to enroll in the academy. He too permitted anyone who are interested to be a scholar and an adventurer for charity. Evens so,7 out of 12 lesser Demon Lords despised the proposal, and soon proposed a 'better' alternative. Thus, standards from each academies were born, where different ranks and titles are still benevolent despite Sarah's optimistic ideals. Moreover, the death of the Demon Lord Sarah became a controversial topic of the whole world, making everyone from the Alliance as a threat to invade the lands conquered by the Demons. However, the case is still disclosed between government officials to avoid the stir of confusion and panic amongst civilians from both rival parties.

The next war shall be expected at 12 years prior from all of the necessary preparation needed for the battle.

"Overthinking everything now will bring me nothing but anxieties. I'll be best be going."

I packed all of my notes inside my trusty old sack and hurried forth downstairs, where my dad was patiently waiting beside the wooden ingress of our house.

"We'll back at dawn" Father's voice echoes inside the room, as we both waved our goodbyes and shuffle our way outside our humble abode.

"Be safe" Clara sees us off while waving her hand goodbye. She wanted to at least join us in our little adventure, however the house itself needs a little bit of cleaning before commencing my mini-birthday party. All sorts of meat and pastries are already inside the kitchen, waiting to be cooked and served. A lot of guests are expected to come and greet my first celebration of the day I was reborn.

The outside world was no different than the ones seen back home. The scenery are all painted in green with trees sprouting elsewhere across the region. Weeds and such are a common plant to see from the meadows afar. Beside the grassy field is the Hans River, where the city's main source of water had come from.

The houses across the road seemed to be friendly neighbours as they greeted both of us on our way out. They were astonished to see me walking in two feet already, even running energetically, despite being youthfully young in my age.

This was a common thing back in my world, or so it seems? Even so, I returned their gesture and smiled back from the couple who seem to be decades younger from my parent's age.

"Ara~ you brought your kid with you! Such an adorable child" The first one to greet us was the fair lady with her thorns protruding on her forehead and a petite tail wiggling back from behind. Her scarlet red hair was bewitching enough to haze my thoughts. Her bikini suit armour also stood out as it reveals her body in a seductive manner

"Captain! It's nice to see you with your young lad! He looks just like you." Beside her was a man years younger than my dad. His appearance is akin to a young adult man who had just reached his peak from puberty. However, his thorns and tails attached from his body clearly indicated his features as one of the demon races from this world.

"A pleasant morning! We're just about to celebrate our son's birthday. We'll be heading towards the castle and bestow him a name" Razor, my dad, was awfully merry about the current situation, as his face expresses a sheer of excitement and joy as he introduces me to his comrades.

"Wonderful! We too will be ready to give him a present this afternoon" Says the girl in black and revealing armour.

Her eyes are full of lust and curiosity, as I study her actions from a distant behind my dad. She locks her eyes unto mine and caught me staring from her plumpy jiggling breasts from her steady deep breathes. The moment she meets my gaze, her lips curls up in a flirting manner, as if inviting me inside the forbidden room of love.

No, you must not, Grey. You have a wife and a lovely daughter in this world! I must be pure before…my world turns grim from her potential lust…harnessing inside my body.

"We'll do just that! Good luck on your name, kiddo" It was a good thing that her husband's (?) demeanour is filled with optimistic thoughts voided from any jealousy from mine. Well, who would suspect a three years old child eyeing for an older woman now, right?

After ending our conversation, we resumed our stride and walked straight to the marble road heading towards the gate of the main city of Vell.

"You could see the castle from here" My father points out the tower that was nearly touching the clouds. The scene was akin to the story of a princess locked away inside a tower waiting to be saved by the green and grumpy ogre (Shrek's reference).

Just as we were about to walk past the hill, closer to the gate, we could discern a line of demons and other species before entering inside. Some of the civilians are patiently waiting for their turn as they continuously gossip at the current events of their hometown to kill their time.

Mixed in with the crowd are creatures that are new to my eyes. Some of their appearance are close to the animals seen in my world, while others had their share of mythical designs and scales combined.

"Dad dad dad, what are those animals?" I enthusiastically pointed out the tamed beasts pulling the wooden wagons alongside their tamers.

"Oh, that? Those are merchants selling goods in our town. Those 'animals' are Testudins—land-dwelling creatures, Equus—a domestic ass, and Varanus—a lizard that can extract venom from their mouth if not careful." My dad confidently answered all of the questions baffling inside my mind. "Those beasts can also be tamed and be used in battles. Those people are called 'beast-tamers'. They are highly efficient to discipline any wild animal rampaging across the lands." He stated as he pumps up his chest in a boastful manner.

"So, dad, have you ever tamed an animal before?" I asked, curious from the prowess of my dad's abilities are.

"Well… er, you see" He dodges my gaze and began whistling parallel from my direction.

"Let's rush inside and skip the line!" He grabs me from my hand and soon rushes inside the gate, passing various people waiting for their turn.

"Excuse me, sir but—"My dad was blocked by an old man in his forties who was scurry enough to cease the charging velocity of my dad.

"Pardon. We're in a bit of a hurry" Razor reaches out the status plate concealed from his sweater and handed it over to the agitated man.

Suddenly, a young bloke, with the same uniform as the older soldier, came rushing over to our post while pointing his hand in an angered manner

"You are defiling the rules of the great Saran, mister. I advise you to head back from where you came from and—"

"You may pass." The man with the white beard raises his hand and aligned himself to the rest of the civilians, producing a path for us to traverse inside.

On the old man's signal, my father picks up his status card and resumes the hasty speed we had started and raced ourselves nimbly to the castle's doors.

"Why did you let them go?!" The young soldier drastically screamed out of frustration, as he pointed his name towards our back in attempt to chase us down.

"You fool. He's the former general of the 13th army" His body continues to quiver in fear the moment he had seen the status plate of the once brave warrior, Razor Dagon

The proud knight who had took down 20 archangels at ones from the Holy Temple of the humans.
