i feel like life is just a routine.
wake up, eat breakfast, go to school, take notes, study, eat lunch, take more notes, study some more, go home, study even more, eat dinner, study(the heck) again, go to sleep.
but those letters from you,
they gave me courage to do what i had wanted to do for a very long time, ever since i left for seoul.
i had to salvage what was left in our friendship.
or whatever you call it at this point.
so i went to you.
i booked a flight to australia.
i took a taxi to the airport.
i ran some more.
i boarded my flight.
you know how much i hate flying.
i got off the plane.
got my luggage.
i took a bus to your house.
the same one we used to head to school on.
i got off the bus.
and i realized i got off one station too early.
so i ran.
and i ran harder,
and faster,
and faster,
and faster,
until i reached your house.
i rechecked you address, and this was it.
i went up the front steps of the porch, slightly creaking from the weight I had put on it.
i rang the doorbell.
i waited.
i waited.
i waited some more.
and you opened the door.
half-asleep.
you hadn't changed in the slightest.
still had messy locks of dark brown hair, same sweatshirt i gave you when i left.
how did you still fit in that?
oh wait, it was mine before. it was too big for me even.
anyway,
you looked up to see who it was.
"do i know you?" you asked.
my heart broke.
"oh wait- OLIVER?!" she shouted.
my heart mended.
"hi aera."
