Power at Last
Chapter 16
Staring at the trio all tied up with rope I found on Slade they are each in their own individual circles positioned to make a perfect triangle. It's finally done the sacrifice of the trio, a sacred sacrifice of warriors to the god Apep. They used to do this sacrifice during war times in ancient Egypt sacrificing their enemies to their chosen god and now I'm reviving it. Originally I was going to wait for either the pirates or Amanda Waller and her A.R.G.U.S soldiers to come and just have one big massive sacrifice but I can wait no longer. I'm ready to get off this cursed world and galaxy.
"What are you going to do with us you bastard!" Getting shaken from my thoughts I set Dawn down staring at my routy captive trying to escape from his binds.
"Isn't it obvious you're going to be sacrificed to my god."
"GOD WHAT GOD IF THERE WAS A GOD WE WOULD'T BE ON THIS FUCKING ISLAND!" Ignoring Oliver I first walk to the unconscious Slade's circle twirling the golden dagger between my fingers before slicing the palm of my hand dripping the blood onto the hieroglyphs commencing the ritual.
"Let us begin!" Chanting in Ancient Egyptian I raise Slade from his downed position slicing his throat clean across making sure to cut through the jugular the blood spraying my body. Slade's eyes shoot staring at me in defiance as he begins to choke and gurgle on the blood, his once defiant eyes quickly going lifeless. As Slade's blood reaches the hieroglyphs they gain a faint golden hue confirming the first of three successful sacrifices.
Walking to Shado's circle next I tune out the screams and cries of her and Oliver looking down at her teary eyed face as she says her final goodbyes to a screaming Oliver. Grabbing her hair I hold her head back exposing her tanned neck pressing the sharp blade still stained with Slade's blood against it. Slowly dragging it across her neck I purposely miss the jugulars shoving her onto her back watching her struggle to breath as she begins to choke on her own blood, the blood at her neck beginning to bubble. Her death will be a slow one after all the more torturous the death the better God Apep appreciates the sacrifice.
Crouching closer to Shado I stare into her eyes that were once filled with so much hope and defiance now empty and soulless looking blankly up at the blue sky still struggling to breathe. Watching Shado take her final breath the hieroglyphs around her begin to light up a brighter gold then Slade's.
Walking to the final circle I look down at Oliver squirming around screaming at me in anger tears running down my face fighting against the restraints. A pity, to think I wasted my potion on this… this filth hopefully the reward will outweigh the loss. Reaching down I grab his long blond hair exposing his neck. Raising my blade I press the warm steel against his neck before a bright light blinds me as I get rocketed back screaming in pain as I feel my skin begin to burn hotter than it ever has. Opening my eyes I look down in horror staring at my body engulfed in a golden flame my body dripping with melted skin exposing my insides as the flame drips off my body with the burned skin.
Looking up I stare at a monstrous all black snake towering over even the largest trees on the island crushing the rest that lay in his wake. Throwing myself to the ground I kneel as close to the ground as physically possible in front of the great God of Chaos Apep the mere pressure almost crushing my whole body.
"So this is one of my few worshipers, very interesting." Hearing the loud booming voice echo in my head I keep my mind clear and my gaze to the ground as to show no disrespect. "Rise my child I wish to see your face with my own eyes"
Feeling the pressure lift from my body I look up in fascination staring into the eyes of the snake eyes that seem to hold whole galaxies inside of them.
"An immortal I see and what is it that you wish for that you don't already have immortal, you have no risk of death amongst these puny humans so what is it that you wish for from me?"
"Immortality is not enough as humans are not the only beings on this planet anymore. I wish for power, power to not only survive but to conquer this world and all the others that have life spreading your will amongst them all. The will of chaos." My voice shows no sign of the fear I carry being in front of such a powerful being that even with my immortality I know can kill me with a mere swipe of its tail.
"Your ambition is inspiring but why should I give you power and not one of my other worshippers?" Feeling something nuzzle my side I look down at Dawn before directing my attention back to my God.
"Because I am not bound by this world. I've hatched the first dragon this world has seen in possibly centuries or even a millennium and I can promise I will not stop here. I will spread your will to each world I travel to. I will spread your will allowing you to grow in power, all I ask for is power to reach this goal." My voice remains steady as Apep slithers forward collapsing the trees in his path leveling his head towards me and Dawn.
"It seems you have hatched a dragon, I will grant you the power you so desire but remember if you stop spreading chaos and steal the powers I gave you… I will kill you." As the pressure suddenly returns stronger than the last time I collapse to the ground my bones creaking from the pressure. "You must be still now this is a delicate process."
Feeling a sharp hot pain in my back I let out a scream of pain as the feeling of hot magma begins to coarse through my body.
"The process is complete now, spread my will child, let the worlds know chaos."
As the pain begins to fade from my body a new feeling, a feeling of power. My vision, my smell, my taste, my touch, and my hearing all of my senses seem better than they used to be on a substantial level. Standing from my downed position Oliver's passed out in the circle but that doesn't matter right now. Walking to a nearby tree I give it a right hook watching in fascination as my fist breaks right through the bark piercing the tree doing no damage to my hand in the slightest. Taking out my hand from the tree I look down at it clenching and unclenching my hand in a fist letting out a chuckle before my attending gets drawn back to the collapsed forest that collapsed from Apep's body.
Welp, that's my que to leave. I'm sure someone took notice of the gigantic snake and I'm not going to stay and find out without knowing the extent of my powers. Walking up to the still knocked out Oliver I wrap my arms around his head snapping his neck to the point that it's facing behind him instead of in front.
"Bye bye hero and bye bye Death." I mutter to myself while sitting down in front of one of the few still standing. As I sit beginning to focus on my ring Dawn comes up to me pushing her forehead against my chest her body glows disappearing in a flash of light as a tattoo of a dragon takes her place on my right pec. She's safe. I can still feel her presence so I'm not worried. Closing my eyes I focus back on my ring feeling a familiar comfortable warmth begin to spread from the ring.
Open my eyes I stare off into the darkness of space with scattered glowing stars a large blue screen taking up most of my vision.

Reading through the status I'm not surprised when I see that my progrocess is considered incomplete. I barely put a dent in its immense universe. Not hesitating clicking yes I wait anxiously as the gold screen shatters a new thin green screen slowly taking its place. This is it this is the whole reason I worked so hard in the world so I could complete achievements and gain power.
Achievements:
Brainiac- Graduate early
Achievement tier Uncommon- Weapons pack: Randomly receive fifty common weapons.
Quickly glancing over the fifty items there doesn't appear to be any guns or explosives, just spears, nunchucks, swords, knives and other miscellaneous weapons that may come in handy.
Man with a thousand faces- Fool at least 10 people about what your true nature really is
Achievement tier Rare- Cloak of invisibility: A cloak that hides your visual appearance.
That could definitely come in handy but it doesn't mask my smell and people can still find me with magic or any other means that doesn't involve sight. Gazing at the large red quilt I'm sure that I could find some use for it.
Cold blooded- Betray your blood family
Achievement tier Rare- Horn of Rhelargo: Summon two hundred loyal goblins from the mighty Rhelargo King of all goblins.
Feeling my heartbeat begin to quicken as I read I clap my hands in excitement. That is a good one no matter which world I go to having two hundred loyal soldiers will certainly be useful.
Hero Slayer 2x- Kill a hero
Achievement tier Epic- Universal Magic: The system rewards you with a universal magic system while awakening your magic if it has yet to be awakened. Universal magic allows the host to learn and use magic from any world you desire as well as create your own. System changes any preexisting magic to be able to access the universal magic storage.
Achievement tier Epic- Amulet of Solomon: The amulet of Solomon grants the wearer double their normal magic stamina.
The black orb glistened on the picture of the Amulet of Solomon while the magic get's no visual image; it does nothing to diminish my excitement. I wasn't able to check all the power Apep gave me before I left but I am still equally excited to not be bound by a specific magic type.
Hidden artifact found- Mirakuru Virus
Achievement tier Epic- Escape rope: Escape rope allows the user to flee from the world they are in getting placed in a random world. (One use Item)
Looking over my first achievement I nod in approval. Having a way to quickly leave a world will be useful. I'll have to save it until it is absolutely necessary.
Out of this world- Gain trust with an alien
Achievement tier Epic- Magic blade Blood Devourer: Every warrior needs a reliable blade and what better weapon to use then a blade that will never stay broken. As the Blood Devourer steel absorbs more blood it will repair any damage done to the blade even if there is only a hilt.
Reading through the next achievement I gaze admirable at the sheathed katana with a black sheath and a red steel handle with golden snakes imprinted on the steel. This will serve me well if I learn how to wield a blade.
Snake Whisperer- Gain favor with the Snake God of Chaos Apep
Achievement tier Legendary- The Snake's Studies- The Snake's Studies is a book that will list the instructions of how to learn a single one of Apep's magics
Gasping in shock I force myself to read over the reward once more. This-this might just be one of the best rewards I've gotten yet I will have to treasure it deeply.
Even the Dead Need Friends- Become friends with the God of Death
Achievement tier Legendary- Character Creation: The Host is able to create a customizable character or characters using the eleven thousand tokens he has amassed over time. Tokens are only able to be used on custom character creations in the shop during the intermission period before you go to a new world or on your home world.
Finishing reading through the text a new screen pops up lowering down to my eye level expanding to the point where it shows a full body all white mannequin. Looking at the screen on the left it allows me to fully customize the mannequin as well as a small screen on the right that contains the shop.
"Fascinating," I mutter to myself looking over all the customizable features I can do to this mannequin. I can write a whole backstory for my character with the customizable features and that's exactly what I will do.
Using the customizable features I worked my hardest to create a beautiful masterpiece only to look at the final product in utter disgust. It's an utter disaster the first attempt is a failure but I won't let that stop me. Over and over again I resculpt my customizable character until after weeks of work I look at the beautiful woman in front of me. She has a cute heart shaped face with blonde locks of hair framing her face the rest pulled back in a French braid. Zooming in on her face I gaze into her green eyes that remind me of beautiful emeralds and her cute button nose and nice full pink lips. Scrolling down I examine her naked body with her nice perky C cup breasts and athletic look with lean muscles that don't show any of her hidden power.
Her nice tanned skin makes it look as though she spends most of her time at the beach outside but in reality I wrote in her backstory that she spends most if not all of her time serving me. When I was experimenting on her backstory I made some very important discoveries like how I can't just write and make her a Kryptonian or a Saiyan. I'd have to buy those in the shop and I am far from being able to afford such powerful bloodlines.
Instead I bought her a different bloodline change that I'm sure will serve quite well. I bought her the bloodline Asgardian which is where I found the biggest loophole I've ever seen in this system. When I bought the bloodline I was able to begin to write the story of Selene Odinsdottir, the lost daughter of Oden who was never seen since the day she was stolen away from her crib as a newborn taken away by smugglers and sold to me. I was going to make the backstory make Selene over a thousand years old but the system only allowed me to make between eighteen and twenty four so I settled on twenty four.
You see I was originally planning on making Selene an Asguardian who trained her way up to power but when I realized that the system wasn't stopping me from giving her Nobel blood I would be an absolute fool if I missed out on that decision.
The race change was a pricey one as well costing me eight thousand tokens but the leftover amount was enough for me to buy some very nice addons for Selene and I. The leftover tokens allowed me to buy a portable inventory that we can put things into that can fit anything within a one hundred by one hundred meter by one hundred meter cube as well as buying her and I different outfits that should fit into many different worlds. With the last of the coins I bought Selene custom battle armor and a custom set of dual Yorveth short swords.
Although the system said I was unable to buy things for myself that doesn't mean Selene can't buy me things.
Looking over Selene one last time and reading thoroughly over the backstory I wrote for her I click save and continue the screen taking me back showing me all of my achievements and rewards before clicking next at the bottom the screen dissolving a new yellow one taking its place.
Host has received all rewards achieved in the DC universe. Would the host wish to set DC as the home world? If the host selects yes instead of having to go straight away to his next world host will be able to stay within his home world.

Without missing a beat I slap no. Who in their right mind would wish to set the DC universe as their home world unless they had some insane god like power?
