Chapter 21
Selene POV
Watching the car roll off the driveway a small piece of me seems to slowly drift away with it. I know my Master is strong. I've seen what he can do with his magic and his magic is nothing to scoff at. It's as he said though we are in a new world and the people here's powers are still unknown.
That just means one thing and one thing alone. I need to hurry up, finish my mission and get to that masquerade ball. I will not let anything happen to my Master he is EVERYTHING to me and if any one of those undead scum even lays a finger on him I will rip their heads off.
He is my everything and if I had my way he wouldn't be going alone but orders are orders and I follow orders. Master Theo had me trained to be his right hand and right hands look out for the head so I will do my task then go to him.
Flinging open the door I run as fast as I can going through the forest going towards the Salvatore estate. This will not take long in and out with no witnesses, a simple snatch and grab.

Theo POV
As the classical music plays on the speaker of the Lockwood house I weave my way through the crowd with both of my masks in place. The week leading up to the ball was a long one spent trying to finish the book but that was to no avail. The book seems like it's almost endless listing techniques, supplies, spells, anything you could imagine that has to do with the dark arts is in that book.
Although I wasn't able to finish the book I did find a new spell that just might make my time in this world that much easier. The dark arts specialises with the undead and vampires are undead and I think I've found just the right spell to cause chaos throughout this world. A plan is what makes everything better and I've made the perfect plan to get exactly what I want. I've been thinking too small I shouldn't limit myself to the small town of Mystic Falls I have to spread chaos through the world and I won't be able to do that here which means that I won't stay here as long as I would have liked but what can I say there's no rest for the wicked.
As much as I would have liked to stay here the whole time and mingle with the main characters I have to look at the bigger picture. I won't be able to cause the chaos that I need here so what's the point of staying? I'll stir the pot while I'm here then I'll leave with and focus on the bigger picture.
There was a sang I heard a while back that truly inspired me. "Kill one man and you're a murderer kill thousands and you're a conquer kill them all and you're a god." and I am going to do my best to live up to that sang because I won't settle for just being a simple killer or conquer I will settle for being a god if that is what it takes to gain enough power to survive.
Spotting a familiar face in the crowd I weave my way through the fake smile still on my face as I walk to the side of Bonnie. "Bonnie, I didn't think you were coming today from those cryptic texts you sent so this is a nice surprise." I say with a smile walking to her side, her face of worry visible even through the mask.
"Theo what are you doing here?!" Bonnie whisper shouts at me pulling me to the side away from prying ears. We've been texting and calling on and off over the past week and today she texted telling me to not come and I chose to ignore it. "I told you not to come why are you here?!""
"This is a party open invitation, why would I not come?" I ask sarcastically with a smile pulling her in close only for her to shove me away.
"No I'm being serious Theo it's dangerous here you have to go home!" Her serious tone might've swayed a normal person to leave but I will not be leaving. I still have business here after all and I wish to see it finished.
"Bonnie it's just a party I don't understand why you're so worried? Whatever it is that's at this party I'm sure I can handle it." I say sarcastically laughing her off walking away as Jeremy quickly runs up to her leading her away as she shoots me a worried glance. Well then I guess it's almost time for me to make my introduction. Making the decision to make myself known to the supernatural community was a difficult decision to come to but I'd rather me go to them on my own terms then to be snuck up on and still not know their abilities.
I'm still not decided on whether or not I should help them catch Katherine or help Katherine escape. In general the decision could go either way but I would like to have a plan so I'm not running in blind unsure of what I'm going to do so that's what I'm going to do while I wait.
Waiting by the punch bowl for five minutes I begin to stroll my way upstairs taking my black mask off and my emotional mask off showing the world my real face, the face that I see in a passing mirror that has a grin plastered across it. If this was the old me I would've never dreamed of even thinking about getting involved in this but now all I can feel is excitement about testing out my new abilities.
Walking through the barren hallways I make my way to a room with closed white doors with see through windows, sloppy if you're going to perform an execution at least make it so no one would be able to see; but then again if I could just wipe away someone's memories then I guess I would become sloppy as well. I would never wish to become a vampire. The potential of magic is so much greater than being immortal and I'm already immortal so what's the point?
Watching from the window as Stefan pulls Katherine to the ground on top of him and Damon stands above her ready to stake her Jeremy's footsteps echoing in my ears coming from behind me I use my magic to burst the doors with such force that when they collide with the walls they shatter upon impact.
"Dark Arts: Shadow Spears…" I mutter quickly and quietly inaudible to any one in the room. Before anyone can react a dark barbed spear gets created from Damon's shadow piercing his shoulder making him let out a loud yell. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." I say with narrowed eyes as Stefan uses his speed to quickly stand going to rush me only to stop in place as six more spears form by my side.
"Who the hell are you?!" Damon shouts looking over his shoulder grasping the spear trying to pull it out to no avail.
"You're Theo right, Elena and Jeremy's new neighbor?" Stefan asks while looking into my eyes.
"Yes I am and you're Stefan and Damon Salvatore the vampire brothers so why don't you step away from Katherine and I won't have to sever your brothers." I say with a smile as another spear grows from the shadow of Damon the point touching his neck. "Now I'm not too familiar with how the vampire regeneration works but do you really think he'll survive?" I ask as I hear the steps from behind me stop.
"Th-Theo, what are you doing…" Jeremy asks, walking to my side looking in shock at the room being unable to finish as I create a spear plunging it into his chest.
"No!" Stefan shouts, rushing me at full speed. He's fast, one of the fastest people I've seen in this world and possibly the other only Selene and and the Reverse Flash being the people that I know are faster; hell I could only see the trail he left, but I'm not the same man I used to be. Before Stefan even has the chance to touch me I send three spears into his chest and the spear against Damon's neck straight through the sound of gasping and gurgles filling the room.
The sound of Stefan's body hitting the floor plays like music to my ears as Katherine rushes to his downed body, a look of shock and anger on her as she glares up at me.
"Who are you?" Katherine growls out anger radiating from her eyes.
"Your captor. Dark Arts: Shadow Bind." Before she has any time to react dark black chains form from Katherine's shadow wrapping around her as she struggles to no avail against them.
"Wha-what are you doing?!" She shouts as I walk to her downed body lifting her off the ground hoisting her onto my shoulder.
"Well we are leaving you don't have to worry Katherine I have great plans for you…"
