Joining The Sect

Hazed waved goodbye to Winter and then led the Anza's into the Secret Herb Garden to see what they were working with.

Last life it had been pretty barren when he had taken over ownership, but even then it was his main source of Cultivation Resources.

This time the results were much, much better!

It looked like no one had entered it in centuries!

"Leanna, I'll be counting on you to watch over this place, and to compile a list of every herb and how old they are while you're here."

Leanna, who was looking around with wide eyes, looked at Hazed and asked in exasperation, "Don't you think it's about time you explain to us what's going on? First, you appear out of nowhere when we're in danger, and then it turns out that you know who we are, about our inheritance, and about the Herb Garden, even knowing how to enter it when we, the rightful inheritors, don't!"

"I'll let you guys in on everything, even my personal secrets, as soon as you complete the ceremony and officially join the sect."

Anza grabbed her Mother's hand, "Mom, I promise it's ok. He means us no harm."

Leanna couldn't help but feel as if her daughter had already fallen directly into his hands.

'I'm not supposed to feel like this until she's married… especially not when she's fifteen.' She thought in exasperation.

"Fine, when can we join your Sect?"

She was worried that they'd have to wait until he was much stronger.

The main reason that Sects were so much rarer than Clans was because to create a Sect requires a Cultivation Method of a type.

Besides the Rank or Rarity of a Cultivation Method, Cultivation Methods also have 'Types'.

Clan Type Cultivation Methods cause the Cultivator's evolution to be special when they reach the Fifth Realm. It's then that they can start there clan. This is because after Evolving they'll be able to pass on certain advantageous characteristics from there Cultivation Method, and on top of that their children can inherit the same cultivation method or a branch of that Cultivation Method through their bloodline depending on the Method itself.

Higher Quality Clan Type Cultivation Methods allow the Cultivator to assign a rank to their wife or adopted children like Sect Cultivation Methods can Assign Ranks from the Matriarch to Elder to Disciples that all give advantages.

The ability to pass on bloodlines and assigned Ranks that hold power isn't something unique to the Celestial Cultivation Method or Mythical Beings in general, it's something that all Sect Type Cultivation Methods will have. Although Hazed doesn't know the quality of his Cultivation Method because he does know the Divine Realms Qualities, he does know that the Celestial Cultivation Method is a Divine Sect Type Cultivation Method.

Besides the benefits of the Rank itself, each Rank comes with its own Cultivation Method. These Cultivation Methods unlike the main method are adaptable and upgradeable, meaning that they can Evolve in different directions. 

In his last life he'd only heard of the different quality of Clan Type Cultivation Methods, never Sects.

However, it makes sense that the Sects have different qualities too.

The main difference between a Clan Type and a Sect Type Cultivation Method is that the Sect Type Cultivation Methods teach the Cultivator Authority, while only high-quality Clan Types touch on Authority.

This is what allows the Cultivator to 'Assign' bloodlines and ranks, instead of just pass on bloodlines. It's also advantageous to the Cultivator when they're creating their own Path of Power because of the similarities that 'Authority' has with 'Path of Powers' in general.

This is a huge blessing for someone like Hazed who wasn't able to create there own 'Path of Power'.

Normally to be able to create a Sect you have to be at the Sixth Realm, however, as a Mythical Being Luna already fully understood the Authority of this lower plane, so she could assign Ranks for Hazed.

However, she was limited by her power, so right now she could only assign a few people to some of the most common ranks.

Luckily it was all they needed, as long as they joined the Sect at all they could put the measures they need in place to be safe.

"If you two are willing, we can begin right now."

Leanna looked at Hazed suspiciously once more, "I thought you needed at least Sixth Realm…"

"Not if you're lucky enough to have a partner like me. Luna, I need to borrow your power once more."

Luna came out of Hazed body and stretched before speaking with a lazy voice, "My power is your power, Hazed. Just as yours is mine."

"Mm. Let's make Bolt a Disciple and Leanna a Herb Tender. Sorry, Leanna right now we don't have enough strength to make you a Herb Garden Elder or anything better yet but we will promote you when we get the strength so you can receive more benefits."

Honestly, Hazed was extremely embarrassed. A Herb Tender was basically a slave, but he really couldn't assign her anything better.

Leanna didn't care, something like this wasn't even worth mentioning in her mind.

"Let's begin then."

Once again, in a process similar to how they assigned Anza her bloodline and Sect Rank of Star Priestess, Luna spoke through Hazed and conducted a rather simple ceremony for Bolt and Leanna.

After the ceremony, instead of sitting down to talk like Leanna expected, Hazed and Luna worked together and used his Spiritual Presence to share his memories with them through the new connection that they had through the Sect.

This was Luna's idea, it took advantage of Hazed amazing Spiritual Presence, and the high-quality connection she created, and it worked perfectly.

Although he obviously didn't share everything, he did share quite a lot, more than they could probably take in all at once.

This included 'The Awakening', the invasion, everyone betraying him, him losing his loved ones, his death, and his reincarnation.

At first, he didn't plan on including so much, but Luna suggested that he took this chance to make them sympathize with him and he agreed it was a good idea.

Was it manipulative? Probably, but he was no longer worried bout such trifles.

Instead, he was focusing on saving the world. Even if that did sound a bit ridiculous when he actually thought about it.

As long as it didn't cross his line and it helped, then it was no weight on his conscience. 

"I'll give you guys some time to take all of that in. If you have any questions I'll be exploring the Herb Garden."

"Wait! Was all of that real?!"

"Of course."

"Even when the Sects betrayed you?"

Hazed nodded solemnly.

Leanna didn't know what to say. She felt awful just watching him be betrayed like that.

However Anza knew exactly what to say, and she spoke from the bottom of her heart, "I'll never betray you!"

Leanna nodded heavily, "Mm, nor will I."

Bolt laughed while feeling awkward, he decided to tease Anza a bit to make himself feel better, "Haha, don't look at me like that! I'll never betray my family, and since it won't be long until Hazed will be my brother-in-law anyways…"

Boom!

Anza shot a small but deadly fireball that exploded right next to Bolt.

Hazed laughed while Leanna panicked, "Watch the garden!"

Anza looked up at Hazed nervously with blushed cheeks causing Leanna to tease, "You better take care of her, son-in-law!"

It wasn't often that she could tease her daughter like this. She could tell that Anza really liked Hazed.

Hazed scratched his head, how'd it become a talk about marriage all of the sudden? I already don't know what to do about the fact that now that I've reincarnated both my wives are alive again.

Last life Hazed had been faithful his whole life, but after his first wife died he'd ended up getting remarried many years later.

Now that he reincarnated though, he had to find a way to convince them both to marry him.

Even though he'd never planned on having multiple wives, there was no way he was going to let one of them go, and it was pretty common for Strong Cultivators to have many spouses.

Whether it was men or women as long as they were talented they could have as many spouses as they wanted and of any gender too.

It was quite common for powerful Fairy Cultivators to have many other Beautiful Fairy Wives that they either loved, kept for 'release', but most the time they were simply kept as a 'decoration' of sorts, and often times they were trained to be bodyguards too.

"Woah there! She's still too young for any talk about marriage." Hazed said not wanting to go into this right now.

"I'm almost 16 already! I'm not too young for anything!" Anza declared boldly, before realizing what she said and covering her face in embarrassment.

Hazed laughed, "My adorable little puppy-girl, you can at least wait until your eighteen before we talk about this. I'm not going anywhere."

A soft "Mm." that sounded like a mosquito buzzing was all that Anza replied with.
