Teaching the scoundrel a lesson

Inside the new and mysterious game soul cultivation, all players were currently very busy flitting about here and there, doing various things.

These were the first few hours of the game and everyone was trying to grab onto whatever upper hand that they could find.

However, there was one person who didn't seem to be interested in moving anywhere. A tall skinny figure lazily leaned against a rock and sat on the ground, chewing what looked like a piece of straw in his mouth.

"Are you done?"

"So ugly!"

"How do you live with yourself?"

"Go back now."

"Eh? How much will you eat?"

"Yuck. I need to wash my eyes. You! Go to the back!"

Bret was happily interacting with a bunch of squiggly wiggly worms without any care in the world. He looked very entertained, despite his limited company and the fact that the worms did not even give him a second glance.

Actually, he was already bored with the game but it was not like he had anything to do outside of the game. And playing with these worms was still better than hearing his mom nag him all throughout the day.

He continued lazily enjoying the warm sun, the clean and fine breeze, and eventually even fell asleep.

Meanwhile… at the entrance of the great beast hall…

The elder who had been casually sitting and minding his own business when Bret walked in, now suddenly clamored onto his feet and quickly bowed. "Greetings, sect elder."

He gulped and looked at the figure standing in front of him hesitantly.

She was clad in a simple maroon robe but that couldn't contain her mesmerizingly beautiful features and her voluptuous body. Despite, standing right in front of her, there was no doubt that the two of them were in completely different worlds.

The beast hall elder bowed deeply, clasping his hands at the front. In his mind, he ran through everything he had done so far and hoped that he had not offended the important figure in any way.

After all, there was no one in the entire Qingyan city who could afford to offend one of the Phoenix Sect elders.

Mmm. The woman didn't speak much and silently waved her hand. As opposed to the beast hall elder's nervous and trembling attitude, she was as calm as still water. "I am here to take a look." She curtly muttered, not bothering to offer any further explanation.

"As you wish, sect elder. Please follow me." The old man respectfully led the way as the young beautiful woman who looked like a celestial maiden casually strolled behind him.

The two kept walking ahead without stopping as nothing in particular had caught the woman's interest or at least that's what her facial expressions conveyed.

She seemed indifferent and unimpressed throughout the entire tour, which made the hair on the elder's back stand up. The person beside him was even capable of making their entire beast hall disappear from the face of the planet.

"Sect elder, that…" He hesitantly muttered, not knowing what to say. A city in the lower realms like theirs was only capable of taming such low-tier beasts.

How could he possibly have anything worth her attention? The old man silently started sweating buckets, his entire back now drenched. "Sect elder… Umm."

The beautiful woman, however, did not allow him to finish his sentence. "It's fine. I am done here. I will be leaving."

"Ah. Alright, sect elder. Please let me know if I can be of any more help." The old man quickly bowed again, watching the woman already walking away, out of the beast hall.

Phew! He let out a long sigh.

This single unexpected visited had almost drained his entire energy!

Now all he had to do was wait for a few more seconds before collapsing down to take a rest, so he kept his eyes on the disappearing figure until the very end.

They were currently closer to the end of the hall, rather than the entrance, so the beautiful maiden walked out of the back exit of the beast hall.

Her long slender legs padded the ground softly and her elegant figure seemed like she was floating atop the land instead of walking.

Her gaze was fixated somewhere in the distance and she was deeply engrossed in her own thoughts, but suddenly this elegant graceful celestial maiden abruptly came to a halt.

Her face contorted as if she had stepped on a stinky pile of shit and her lips twisted into an ugly smile.

The lady who was about to exit the beast hall was now standing frozen in front of a trough, where a young man was leisurely snoring.

"Ah! Not there, my dear." He even mumbled something incoherently in his sleep which made her eyes further widen.

"Hmph. Bloodline ordinary, physique ordinary and pathetic spirit and yet you dare to come and stand in front of me, even try out for our sect!" Her plump cherry red lips curved into a sneer.

If it was up to her, she would have thrashed this insignificant existence in front of her and erased him completely but unfortunately, her position was a bit sensitive now and there was a heavenly decree. So her hands were tied.

"Otherwise..!" The beautiful woman gritted her teeth. She paused for a moment as if she was unwilling to leave the place without taking care of the dirty useless lecher.

"I can't kill him… but surely I can take out a limb or two? Heh" A vicious glint appeared in her eyes and she looked around to see that no one else was present.

With a silly smirk on her face, she raised her leg, clearly aiming to kick the other party's knee.

But considering her strength, this would inevitably shatter Bret's entire lower body or might even kill him. It didn't matter that she was fully controlling the power of her attack.

And meanwhile, the other party was still happily snoring.

His happy-go-lucky face only infuriated her further! What a wastrel! He was sleeping aimlessly in broad daylight.

Her face darkened, and her legs descended down to give the ignorant fool a good lesson.

However, before her milky white leg, which was slightly visible through the parting of her robe, could touch the skinny young man, a weird sensation assaulted her and she stopped mid-air.
