Martin bit his lip as he stared into Ophelia's eyes. He could feel that Ophelia really didn't blame him and that made him feel a lot better but it also made him feel like he was taking the easy way out. Blaming the darkness was easy. Shouldn't he be held to some higher standard? Shouldn't he be to blame for not being strong enough to hold the darkness at bay?
