"Oh where are my manners I smiled as I turned to the woman "My name is Elizabeth but you can call me Liz if you'd like." The woman smiled while holding out her hand for me to shake "Im Lexus and this is my little boy Jermey. " I shook her hand and waved at Jermey, though he was a bit scared at the moment, he waved back. "Nice to meet you guys." It was starting to storm really badly and Jermey was still scared. Lexus was trying to comfort him, but he keep crying. I walked up to him and patted him on the back "It's ok everything is going to be alright...you're going to be just fine I promise I'm here to protect you and your mom...ok!?" He dried up his tears and hugged me "Papa". I looked at Lexus confused a bit until she told me what had happened. " The killer got to his dad first...we had managed escaped by jumping out the window. They slashed us a bit and then we finally got to your house and lost them..." everything went silent as tears fell down her cheeks. "Oh I'm sorry to hear that" I hugged her trying to comfort her "It's ok dear things in life happen" She smiled and wiped her tears away "besides he's in a better place now and he'll be taken care of". I smile and looked over at the radio " How about we listen to some music a have a little dance party to cheer us up" her eyes lightened up "sure and she smiled as I turned on the radio and we threw a tiny dance party. Soon Lexus and Jermey fell asleep out of exhaustion. I turned the radio to a news channel to see what's happened lately. "Severe thunderstorms and power outages may occur in your town so stay safe. We will now be going live with Sarah".  "Thank you Tom! I am at the store located outside of town where a worker has been stabbed and shot to death. We're sure it was the murders and think that they're heading into the town NOW! So stay inside no matter what, make sure everything is locked and secured, have enough food, and a med kit just for safety reasons" I turned off the radio looking at Jermey who was sitting up frightened "Are we going to die!? " He started to panic "No no you're going to be fine remember....I am here to protect you and your Mom...so lay down and go back to bed" I patted his head and tucked him in. "Thank you Liz!" He smiled and laid down and fell back asleep. "No problem lil one" I grinned.
