Shaking my head, I continued to walk towards my father.


"I think... I think there's someone... Or something in my room.". Looking him in the eyes, I knew he wasn't taking me seriously. 


"Son, I think you might have lost it" His grin slowly widening as he hit his knuckle against my head gently, "You have just seen something traumatic, it's okay to be paranoid".


'Paranoid'?  Was that what I really was? Was my mind just playing tricks on me this entire time? My eyes lowered onto the carpet confused, "You're right... Sorry.".


 "Aren't I always?" He smiled while ruffling my hair as if I was a dog.


Minutes passed and I decided that I won't listen to my father. I WON'T. I wasn't a dog, I can make my own choices and I know what I heard.
