Chapter 7: A Night He'll Never Forget

Bakugo

"This is gonna be a night he'll never forget."

I'm going to take Deku out. We're going to this nice restaurant that serves amazing Katsudon. Then, we're gonna go get mochi. After that, well you'll see. So I start Kirishima's red sports car and drive to go to my house so I can find something that looks good to change into. Then, I remember it's a crime scene so I turn around and go to 着飾る. I park in front of the building and walk in. I see the most gorgeous red, sequin dress and tell the store clerk I want to buy it. She looks at me like I'm crazy, like I don't have enough money, but I don't think she realizes how much money I made last summer while tutoring. I don't think she knows I work at the restaurant right beside this place. Oh well. She asks,

"Would you at least like to try it on first, mam?"

"Sure," I reply and take the dress to the dressing room. I peel off my shirt and jeans and put the dress on. I stand in front of the mirror, amazed by my appearance. I hear a knock on the dressing room door and say,

"Someone's in here." The clerk sighs.

"Yes I know mam I just wanted to see how you look in the dress." I unlock the door and say, "Well then come right in."

Her jaw drops. She stares in amazement.

"Mam, you have to buy this! If you buy it, I will do your makeup and hair for free. It would just be a shame to see anyone else in this dress!"

"Well thank you. I think I will be buying it and wearing it out of here if you don't mind."

"Not at all."

"But I need you to help me pick out some shoes and a different purse."

"We've got ya covered mam." She says before someone walks beside her, holding red high heels.

"Oh I can't wear these," I say. The clerk doesn't listen.

"Just try them on" she pleads and as soon as I sit down she has my sneakers off and the heels on. They look beautiful with the dress. I stand up and walk a little unsteadily but I still like them so I tell the clerk I'll buy them and go look to find a small purse. I find a black one and take it to the counter to check out.

"$798" I pull my wallet out of my old purse and give the clerk my black credit card. She swipes it.

"Alright mam now Jennie will be taking over the counter for me so I can do your hair and makeup."

"Tch. Whatever," I say even though I'm really grateful that she volunteered to do this because I was going to go without makeup and with my hair in a ponytail if not for her kind offer. She guides me to a desk that has a mirror with pink lights around it and makeup is neatly organized on the counter. I sit in the chair and she tells me to close my eyes. I feel a soft, quick rubbing across my face before something is applied on my eyes and something else on my cheeks. She calmly says,

"Open your eyes." I scoff but do as she says, sneaking a quick glance at the mirror. A different girl is staring back at me. Same red eyes and ash blonde hair but there was so much difference. This girl didn't look like she was angry at the world. She looked like she loved someone in this world. She looked strong yet loving. This girl can't be the same as me. Apparently, the clerk caught me looking in the mirror and said,

"Incredible right? They say all you need is a brush or two to show who someone is on the inside." I have no idea why but I turn around, stand up, and hug her. She hugs back for a few seconds until I release her and collapse in the seat. She's immediately back to the makeup, now applying mascara to my eyelashes. They spontaneously grow longer. I swear this makeup is magic. She tells me to part my lips and I do so as she applies a dark crimson lipstick to my lips. Then she gets a tube of clear lip gloss and applies it over the lipstick. I look amazing. I tell the clerk,

"I'd also like to buy one of everything you just put on me."

"Okay," the clerk says, " Anything else, mam?"

"That'll be it." She and I walk to the counter and she rings me up for $372. I hand her the card from my wallet and she swipes it before handing it and the bag to me. I am so ready to see my Deku. I love you Deku.

Deku

I'm walking home and I see a red car pull up beside me. Is that Kirishima's car? I run now. The car keeps my pace and rolls down the window. I quickly look in and see Kacchan?

"Get in the car nerd," she says, halting the car to a stop.

"Okay Kacchan."
