I grimaced at the brightness and the heat of the sun. Well, it wasn't only me that was suffering, there were also my friends who doesn't like hot climates especially when riding on a horse. And truthfully, we weren't used to horseback riding. Well, I did ride one on the way to Chang'an last time, and I think Seven had some sort of training for it, but I was pretty sure Dean and Tim did not.

"Are we there yet?" complained Tim, for probably the hundredth time.

"Just a few more hours." answered Yan Fei. I could sense his patience already slipping as the ride went on.

A small group consisted of me, Seven, Tim, Dean, Hauria, Shen Yu and Yan Fei were on our way to Hanxiu City in Xifang District of Zhou County. It was the nearest city to the two villages that were massacred.

Let me rewind to two days ago, when Yan Fei delivered the imperial decree to Prince Wei's mansion.
