"Why are you doing this eldest brother?" I asked him.

"It's because you're a hindrance to me and at the same time the Sect wants you dead. It's hitting two birds with one stone."

Five pillars of light in different colors suddenly rose up to the sky in different directions. They were coming from different parts of Chang'an and it gave me a bad feeling.

"Hyung." Dean called. "I can feel a lot of power pooling in Chang'an right now."

"He's right." Stele said. "Chang'an actually sits on top of an energy hotspot. Many ley lines converge inside this place. And those pillars of light are focal points of the city. They're charging up the ley lines."

"But doing that means they killed people in those areas!"

"You're really smart old fourth." Liu Rong inserted.

"You're planning to use the capital as an altar for a spell." Hauria said.
