We waited as the elevator descended. We were still invisible, not taking any risks at getting found out, but then we flickered back to being visible and Chen collapsed to one knee.

Seven immediately went to his side and helped him up.

"Just take a break." I told him. He was obviously very exhausted for maintaining his powers for a long period of time. Plus, he used both of his abilities just a while ago which definitely added to the strain on his body.

"No, I can still go on." he said even though he was already out of breath.

"No, I can last longer than this. There's something wrong."

"It's like my ability is being forcefully cancelled. There's something in the air that's messing with my powers."
