All our gazes landed on Kyle with even more shock and disbelief written on our faces. Me especially shook his shoulders and attempted to slap him to wake him up or to make him stop his jokes, but he stopped my hand and looked at me with a serious gaze and a stern expression.

"That's final. I will work for him if needed be." he said again, firming his answer.

"But Kyle!" I exclaimed. "I can do it! I can-"

"No. You already have your duties as the Maiden of the Moon, I don't want you to be bound again by something else."

I looked away from his eyes and turned to Lei. He only gave me a sad smile.
