Chapter 5: Black Widow Poison threads

it was Wei Di turn and Du Ji turn for battle. Up in the observatory tower, the principal remarked " Poison Clan leader, Du Wu! Your granddaughter is one of the most talented people to appear in the Blue Moon Institute but she has your stubborn personality like you. Thus she has to partner up with Wei Di... if not she will come close to the winning title too."

Du wu, an overzealous grandfather spitted " That Wei Di better ensure that he does not get in the way of my granddaughter or else…..". In frustration, his hands started to radiate a poison aura while the other clan leaders all turn away and avoided eye contact with him.

As the match began, Du Ji asked Wei Di to stand back as she unleashed her N0. 7 poison arts technique- Black widow spider threads. Suddenly, Du Ji turned back and shoots out spider threads that tie up WD arms and legs with the spider thread. Du Ji uttered "just stand down and don't move! I don't want you to get hurt" And before Wei Di could complain, she also shot out another spider web to cover Wei Di's mouth. There was an awkward silence among the crowds and the VIPS throughout the tournament grounds.

The two opponents Ni xie and Lai ming from the scarlet clan were also bewildered but quickly regain a sense of what was happening. They both launched flame arrow attacks at Du Ji, but she evaded all of them skillfully. She then counter-attacked to tie them up with the spider threads too.

Feeling the corrosive feeling on the thread, both of them used the flame in their hands to burn down the threads. However, when they did that, it caused an explosion. That resulted in both to lose consciousness with blackened faces.

The crowd's mouth grasp as Du wu exclaimed "Ho ho ho, she has indeed inherited my poison arts well!". WD suddenly stood beside Du Ji remarked "oh the black widow spider you integrate with must be fed with the volcanic leaves of Mount Kraka." Du Ji peered at Wei Di and said " You brat pretty knowledgeable, aren't you?!?! And how did you break free of my threads?". As Wei Di casually walks away, the crowd booed him for not helping Du Ji at all.
