Chapter 22: The Ancient One

He succeeded. Wei Di is now immune to poison.

The sun settled for the night as darkness gathered and filled the sky. "Crick..Crick"..Wei Di slowly widened his eyes as the cricket sang. He looked around and found himself lying on a bed in a majestic cave.

The moonlight shone in through the gaps of the caves and the surrounding flame torches at different locations illuminated the huge cave. Near the end of the circular cave, lies a throne. A beautiful fairy-like woman wearing a silky white robe was sitting on it. Her White robe was translucent and subtly revealing her ample assets. Her snow-white legs were stealing the spotlight as she crossed her legs elegantly. Any mortal would have gone into a frenzy if they saw her.

Her pretty violet eyes looked at Wei Di as he rose from the bed. She walked towards the bed and sat beside Wei Di. She seductively touches Wei Di lips with her slender fingers and whispers "What strong mental abilities you have and the knowledge you possess seems outer-worldly". She continued "As promised i will repay your favor and help you... I assume you want to form a spiritual beast connection with me"

Wei Di was slightly flushed and stood up. He started to adjust his unkempt robe and said "That's not my intention..instead I want you to teach a friend who is a poison practitioner and hopefully form a spiritual beast connection with her."

The Great White snake was taken aback. Every cultivator in the country would definitely covert her. In fact, spiritual beasts beyond the borders were insanely stronger than beasts within the border. Although she had lost most of her power now due to the poison in time she could recover and very well be one of the strongest beasts to exist within the borders

Wei Di smiled and replied," I know what you are thinking but my spiritual beast is waiting for me already and he would be angry if my first spiritual connection is not with him."

The White snake is curious "who else could be stronger than me within this border

Wei Di casually mentioned "One of the Ancient ones"

"Ancient ones...Wait you don't mean" The White snake startled and as if a bolt had hit her head.

"It can't be..such an existence…" the White snake jittled.

Ancient Spiritual Beasts existed even during ancient times and was the strongest spiritual beasts ever known even beyond the borders. Specifically, Wei DI's spiritual beast was The White tiger. The White Tiger was hailed as the White emperor god and thought to reside in the heavenly realm where other gods existed.

The White snake peered through Wei Di's eyes and did not sense that he was lying.

Wei Di interrupted her state of shock and said "Instead I need you to form a spiritual beast connection with a friend of mine. She is also a poison cultivator so it should be compatible for you."

The disbelief White Snake in her state of shock just nodded.
