I heard it before I saw it. I turned around and did the only thing I could think of doing: ๐ ๐ณ๐ข๐ฏ.
I ran and did not look back because I thought it would slow me down.
I could hear the sound of a Dicktalon hot on my heels.
This monster was elusive. And most folks were glad for it-The less it reared its head the better-But on an unlucky day, you might see it looming atop a lonely windswept moor.
And if you saw it...You were as good as gone.
It exhaled death.
Its thick-scaled body stained with blood, blue eyes gleaming for its next victim: ๐๐ฆ
I knew running wouldn't do any good, but it was all I could think of doing.
My mind felt like it came to a halt, only having the thing I loved flash through my mind: Lucas, my brother that loved me dearly and would swap places with me within a heartbeat; My father, and what he would do after the death of me.
I still had so much to live for.
Fate always had its way of slapping me in the face. It stung like hell. My thoughts were disrupted as unbearable pain ripped through my shoulder.
I cried out.
I tripped over a root and cured out aloud at myself. My tears were the downfall of me. I crawled, not caring my knees were bloody and bruised. I yelped one again as sharp stabs dug into my skin.
I tried to wiggle my way out but made everything worse.
Shouting for help, it felt as if everything slowed down, and only whispers sounded through the empty place.

I opened my eyes. A blurry figure perched on top of me scraping my guts out.
I choked back on my own blood that filled my lungs and eventually my mouth.
Why couldn't I die a quick death?
I bawled out again.
