The Family

Third-person pov

Family, they say is the most important aspect of life, that it was considered sacred. But what if family betrayed you. What if blood was no longer thicker than water, or better yet, what if blood was no longer compared to water but instead the number of profits?

Lia had believed that blood was thicker than water because that is what her parents had taught her. But Jia had proven her and their parents wrong.

For Jia, Blood was comparable to money, and for her, money was thicker than blood. It never mattered who got harmed in the process, not even family, the one thing that could have kept them together.

Lia believed that with family came love, but Jia had proven to her time and again that family was an illusion to the point that the only family she actually trusted was Jenny.
