The Memory Drawer

Jillian James had traveled back home for the album that was possibly holding all the answers to her unanswered questions. She had sworn not to seep in this big house alone and if she found what she was looking for in the dead of the night, then she would get on her ride and go back to the city at that same moment.

She was scared of being alone in this room.

It was not enough that her memories were haunting her, but everything in the house was a reminder of her failure. She would have fought back when everyone threatened to ruin her family, instead she gave in like the coward she was. But her giving in was not a sign of surrender. It was the smartest move at the time.

She let herself be seen as weak in front of everyone.
