Inside the great hall...
"Compared to the Course-1 students, the treatment received by Course-2 students..." (Mob)
"...is both inferior and discriminatory in all ways!" (Mob)
"Aren't you trying to cover up that fact, Chairwoman?" (Mob)
The panel of Course-1 students bombarded Mayumi with questions, wanting to overwhelm the opponent and win the argument.
Unfortunately, Mayumi wasn't a noob...politics was one of her strengths, being the daughter of Saegusa Kouichi.
"You just pointed out that it was 'in all ways.'..." (Mayumi)
"...What are you referring to specifically?" (Mayumi)
She calmly asked the opposition to specify the scope of their arguments.
"The magic oriented clubs, with their high ratio of Course-1 student clearly receive the lion's share of the budget..." (Mob)
"...Compared to the non-magic oriented clubs mainly populated by Course-2 students!" (Mob)
"Isn't that proof that preferential treatment for Course-1 students is overlooked." (Mob)
"Even when it comes to extracurricular activities?" (Mob)
The opposition had no intentions of letting up.
Still, Mayumi had a calm expression as she elegantly replied to their statements.
"The reason why magic-oriented clubs are given more budget is due to their involvement in the national-level competition that happens every year." (Mayumi)
"The Nine-Schools Competition is solely focused on magic-related skills this the reason why the magic-oriented clubs get more budget." (Mayumi)
"As for your other question...." (Mayumi)

"This isn't an Open Forum anymore..." (Mari)
"...it's turning into Mayumi's personal bully pulpit." (Mari)
Mari let out a tired sigh as she looked at her friend, dominating the whole game!
She turned towards to look at the crowd with narrowed eyes.
"But still...I have no clue what they're up to..." (Mari)
"But we can't make any advances ourselves..." (Mari)
"Defense-only policy does have a nice ring to it, but..." (Mari)
"Chairwoman Watanabe, please don't make assumptions about resorting to violence..." (Suzune)
Mari's thought process was immediately criticized by Suzune who sternly warns her about the former's words.
"I know. You don't have to worry Su-chan." (Mari)
"I am counting on you." (Suzune)

(Mayumi speaking)
"These are terms that have been banned by the school, the Student Council, and the Disciplinary Committee..."
"...but unfortunately, I must admit that they are still in wide use."
"It's not just Course-1 students..."
"...among the Course-2 students, there are those who despise themselves as Weeds, and are resigned as well as accepting of it."
"Yes, such a lamentable culture does exist here."
"The issue is this barrier to awareness!"
"As this school's Student Council President..."
"...this barrier to awareness...is what I've wanted to somehow break down!"
"But that's not something that should be resolved by creating discriminatory practices!"
"Every one of us, from Course-1 and Course-2, are students of this school!"
"And the time we spend here as students of this school..."
"...for each of us, these three years are irreplaceable..."
*Slow Clapping*
*Loud Clapping*
The crowd was captivated by Mayumi's performance while the opposition had depressed expressions on their faces.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you all what I hope for."
"In the Student Council, there is still a system that discriminates against Course-1 and Course-2 students."
"Under the current system, all officers except for the President must be nominated from among the Course-1 students."
"This regulation can only be overhauled during the general assembly convened during the reelection of the Student Council President.
"When I step down, my final task as Student Council President will be to do away with this regulation at the general assembly."
"People's hearts cannot be changed by force."
"And since that's not the way to go..."
"I plan to make as many improvements as I can in all other areas."
*Loud Clapping*
Once again, the crowd burst into cheers as they chanted Mayumi's name, loudly!
Creak!
Suddenly, the main doors creaked open!
The blinding sunlight made it impossible to see the features of the newcomer, at least not until they saw someone exiting the blinding doorway.
The figure wore the same school uniform as the other Course-1 students, the only exception being the glaring red armband with the word, 'Advisor' imprinted on it.
He had long white hair and a tall figure, about 6'2.
Even though the school uniform successfully hid the figure of the newcomer, just by looking at his body posture, one could tell that this man possessed an absolutely insane physique.
He also wore black colored gloves and had tied a portion of his hair.
One of the glaring attractive features about the newcomer was his otherwordly handsome face!
Yet, the thing that demanded the most attention was.....

...his eyes!
His beautiful, "chartreuse phosphorescent eyes"!
"E-Erik!?" (Mayumi)
Erik just smiled.
"Looks like I have arrived at the perfect time..." (Erik)
*Sound of boots*
18-individuals also entered the hall behind Erik, all of them wore black-themed uniforms and black glasses.
Creak!
Two of the 18 individuals closed the doors behind Erik, standing guard to prevent anyone from entering or leaving the hall.
Whereas, the other 16-individuals quickly surrounded the students from both sides.
"What is going on?..." (Mayumi)
Mayumi mutters to herself in a low voice after distancing herself from the mic.
She turned to look at her fellow councilmen, only to find Katsuto signally her to keep quiet.
*Sound of Steps*
Erik calmly made his way towards the stage.
"What is going on!?" (Mob)
One of the students from the crowd stood from his seat and stood in front of Erik with an agitated expression.
Hearing the question, Erik let out a calm smile before replying to the question.
"Just some last-minute notice..." (Erik)
"Wha—" (Mob)
Before the said person could proceed any further, his entire body was lifted from the ground and smashed into the ground!
His words were caught inside his mouth!
Shaking the perception of said person, towards his surroundings.
"Arghh!..." (Mob)
Laying on the ground, he groaned in pain as he was obviously hurt from being smashed onto the rather durable floor.
It came out of nowhere and caught the person off guard!
"Erik!..." (Mayumi)
Mayumi of course tried to get Erik to explain what was going on but the latter was busy concentrating somewhere else.
He tightens his grips on the said man's right hand as he easily pulls a 'strange ring' from the opposition's index finger, releasing the man's hand, after doing so.
Everyone was shocked by Erik's sudden takedown but none dared to move!
Erik simply ignored the others and looked towards the awfully familiar symbol on top of the flat surface of the ring.
He smiles and says,
"Well well, what do we have here...."
