Chapter 40: |The Difference Is Just Too Massive And Noticeable!!|

The cold rain continued to shower aggressively on my already drenched clothes and wet hair with the powerful thunderstorm acting as it's background.

Pulling the shank of the black stallion, I had 'borrowed' from the Royal Stable yesterday night, I tied the horse's reign on the wooden fence that belonged to the humble cottage that currently lied before me.

My feet hopped on the neatly arranged stones that had created a natural footpath to the house in the question and I moved diligently, cautious to not make the wet mud dirty my clothes even more than how they were now.

..

Man, fleeing from the palace was tougher than the prison. There were way too many auspicious guards patrolling around. Much more than how they were in the now ruined prison.

But, the most dangerous person of them all was.

I looked back at thick trees and the howling thunderstorm filled the plain agricultural fields I had just crossed a few seconds back.

Prince Zenon Charming.

I let out a deep sigh.

So, far..I haven't had anyone following me. And, I guess, that's good for now.

But, still.. Ughh! ...

I clenched my fist and almost hit the horse in my fowl mood.

That brat, fake Sir Nozen! How dare he can fool me like that!?

The horse yelped in fright.

"Neeigh!"

"Oh, I am so sorry, Blacky.."

I soothed it by rubbing it's neck calmly and quickly start stalking my way towards the cottage, where the great wizard who had made the enormous made-alive golden dragon disappear out in the blue with a really strong spell ( after I had defeated it) lived and stood before it's door belligerently.

Knock! Knock!

I waited for a while but..

No response.

Knock! Knock!

No response, yet again.

I grit my teeth, annoyed and

slammed the door open after unlocking it with my strong threads, completely startling the old man in an long blue star printed wizardary robe who had graciously been drinking his warm tea.

Thunder!

A strong beam of a bright light flashed behind my evil villainess form.

"G-Girl..?!"

The wizard's tea cup broke into millions of pieces being dropped down by it's handler who seems to be too frightened by the arrival of a strange mad woman with soaked hair at his doorstep

"W-Who a-are you..? What do you.. "

"Pay heed, Oh, Strings of barricades, Enchant and Devour em through of your glories of wisdom and peace!"

I chanted quickly not even leaving a space for him to think.

The wizard unable to comprehend what was happening around him blinked , when my thread babies abruptly escape from my finger tips and soon encapsulate the powerful wizard like a huge butterfly cocoon covering everything other than his head.

"Mmm.. Mmm..."

The old man mumbled from his muffled mouth completely trapped inside my magic from the corner.

"Shut up, old man. It will only take a minutes. I just want to borrow your private library to look into something..".

I cupped my hands over my hips and scanned the room.

There were magic globes, boiling broth, bottles of pills and portions and many books. The entire cottage seemed to be tempting strong spiritual sources that would have attracted many dangerous animals. It was very strange for this old wizard to be so un-guarded like this. I thought.

The foreign wizard's house was similar to Granny Alchemist's shop. But, I could sense more manna and power inside this area.

I looked back at the wizard who still seemed to be struggling to flee from my surprise sticky thread-cocoon attack and let out a sigh.

I feel sorry for him.

But, after digging into the public library, the Alchemist shop, the town market, and even the entrance of the Royal Knights training palace's entrance (Well, ignore the fact that, I was kicked out before I could even get in, of ) without any single lead to the details regarding the Weaver's wand, The fairies were talking about, nor about the mysterious power my Grim-Tale book possesses, I confess my mind does feel a little rotten with anger and irritation especially due a to a certain someone.

I looked around the room more earnestly and tried to peek into the books, the portion bottles, and even the boiling broth inside the cooking pot near the fire place when, I found a weird unlit half broken lamp, that was sticking out clumsily at the wall.

I rolled my eyes.

I was obvious that it was a secret passage.

The wizard mumbled more when the floor suddenly sunk in and a secret under ground passage came to my vision.

"Then, I will enter this room. Thank you for your kindness, Oh so great wizard!"

I made a slight bow of gratitude and slowly walked in making the wizard utterly baffled by my behavior.

Flip!

I flipped the pages, changed the books in desperation and glided to different sides of the bookshelves but, it was still the same.

I cannot concentrate on my work!

That brat! That stupid brat! How can he do this to me! He was Sir Nozen all along! How can he lie about his identity to me? And, to think, how dense I was having not realized it until then.

I abruptly banged my head down on the desk that lied before me.

I should have known. I am his senior, so logically I must be the one who plays pranks on him. It's so annoying and frustrating.

Ugh, but, still...

I just cannot understand how that gloomy eyed, placid faced, sadistic mouthed, over mature, show off kid like Sir Nozen..

Could transform into the most brightest, cheerful, honey sweet-smile faced, extremely handsome figured and the idealistic Charming young lad, called Prince Zenon Charming!

The d-diff-difference is just tooo massive and noticeable!!

I mean, no kidding! Even their attitudes have totally changed with the years! Who does he think he is? A male Cinderella!? I am her step sister, for bloody sake! How could boys change just so much?

It's vexing, just too vexing!..

I impatiently tapped my feather pen over the blank paper, I had taken out if my back to take important notes from the book I was looking in and drooped my head again, on the desk due to the lack of concentration.

It seemed, I have still not got over this great identity shock.

Agggh, I scratched my red hair and let out a great "Aaaahhww" .

But...

I abruptly shook my head and flipped more pages of the book I was looking into now.

I licked my fingertips and turned the current page with a forced energy,

....I mustn't lose my sight of my goal in avenging my mother and saving the kidnapped Cinderella.

And...I stared at the floor in thinking..

There is another important detail I need to research about.

My mysterious time freezing powers, the enchanted Grim-Tale book and.. My very own spirit animal, The diamond-headed black cat.

These details were definitely new in my life. I know, that's funny as in world of Fairytale, my life had been reincarnated way too many times in different versions.

But, for some reason, this time...my instinct says.. My story has started changing as none of my earlier reincarnations had the current thread powers I posses now nor were they aware of what lies in the future of all the grim fairytales beforehand, like I.

And, that reminds me.. I rubbed my chin staring at the book...

The conversation, I had with Prince Zeno, on the day of my mother's death...
