With the publishing of this final chapter of the final volume, I Became a Sengoku Lord has officially ended and with how everything was wrapped up, I believe a sequel is no longer needed, after all, I have to now focus on ending its sibling series [COMA: Fragmented Reality] as well.
Over the course of almost 5 years, I have grown alongside this series and as many of you have spoken about in the discord server and the team's email inbox, you can see how I changed alongside it and how I reflected my life's events in many of its volumes and chapters while still remaining original to my theme. While admittedly, it is not perfect and I have a lot of inconsistencies, I also see it as a sign of my growth not only as a writer but also as a person.
If you ask me, although I would admit that I ended this quite abruptly and inconsistently, I did end it in a way that if I would be made to re-edit this for a hardbound release (yep, take a guess), I will change nothing about the ending and how much it meant not only to my beloved characters but also to myself. After all, who would've guessed that this stupid story of mine that I made while having a hangover due to sleeplessness would grow out to this point.
Anyways, I seriously owe all of my success to all of you who read this even amidst my stupid ideas and lackluster writing abilities. Along with that, I thank Editor KEY and Editor ZERO for always being there to help me out, although if there are delays on releases, please blame them since KEY is always busy with attending cosplay conventions and reading BL (boy's love/yaoi. Seriously, please take away this woman's French fries) mangas and manhwas, while ZERO has either grinded his ass in COD multiplayer up to Prestige 6, never stopped having Mecha battles in Rubicon and now, he's malding while spreading Super Earth managed democracy to both robots and bugs (bless this man).
To everyone who has enjoyed this series and wish to see it continue, I unfortunately I have to tell you that I can see no other direction to this story to continue on without having to use some bad historical inspirations (Imperial Japan in WW2), quoting the current affairs of the world (endless war and "superpower nations" becoming the world's police), or being so ridiculously out-of-pocket that I lose the essence that made this story enjoyable for me and probably to many of you.
However, I do plan on making a timeline after the events of this story that would explain how history went in this new world and how our characters lived the rest of their lives as well as how history remembers them for. When would I release this? I'm not sure myself since I will once again be busy with college tasks, but I think I can release it fully before July comes since I can remember that due to my birthday, however, that's not a promise. I can either release it early or a bit later than that, but I will do my best to not drag it along until the Ber months.
In any case, that is all that I have to say. I will be finishing COMA as well in the next 4 or 5 volumes and end the first phase of the Chronian Trilogy that I have in mind, this story being an attachment to the COMA.
If you're interested on my new work, it's titled as House of the Wolves and I will be releasing its synopsis soon after this final author's note drops, until then, see you guys around!
With warm regards,
Author Rai
